Partito Progressista Riformista was a political party in Italy born in June 2008 from the merger of Alleanza Democratica Italiana and Vox Populi. At the last count, before it was transformed into the Partito Popolare Italiano]], the party had 78 members. It was one of the members of the alliance Fronte Popolare.
In November 2010 PPR was re-established again, this time as Rifondazione Progressista Riformista.
Mission
The Progressive Reform Party, has the constant and gradual improvement of Italy at the heart of their political activity. For this, the PRP set fundamental values as:
Democracy as active and continuous participation of citizens in the political and social life of the country. PPR's primary objective is that everyone will feel part of a larger project that is Italy.
Freedom is the main feature and fundamental for all human beings. PPR is fighting for this because freedom of speech, action and any other human expression is a guarantee, as well as respect for others. Consistent with the "social freedom", PPR believes in economic freedom, specifically seen in the fair competition on the market.
Reformism & Progress: are the values that guide PPR's political action. PPR believes that the common good is attainable only with social progress, concretely implemented reforms and political activity to improve Italy.
Internationalism: the PPR is a promoter of Italian international politics, acting in concert with other countries for healthy and profitable collaboration. All political decisions that international directly binding Italy and Italians must be subsequently used to inform citizens, who are holders of real democratic power.
