Avatar
Your Avatar is an image linked to your Citizen's name throughout the game. Everyone has a different take on this, but try to choose an image that represents you or your citizen.
The first avatar which you upload rewards you with experience points, for quick leveling it is essential to do this on the first day to unlock Level 2!
External Websites
The forums are the main method of communication for long debates and topics in eJapan. After creating a forum account you need to post in the Welcoming Hall to gain posting rights, a security measure to keep the forums spam and attack free.
If you have any problems with the game or just want to get to know the community, our IRC Channel will let you chat to other eJapanese in real time!
Mentoring
If you find yourself totally lost and full of questions, please join our Mentoring Program by sending it a Private Message. You will find players on the other end only too happy to help you find your feet in eJapan!
Shout
Shouts are short messages. You can only send a few each day, they can be great for quick communication of important events and articles.
You can see all shouts posted by citizens on your Friends List on the main eRepublik page (as well as write your own). Shouts you post can also be seen on your profile page by non friends.
You can make friends by clicking the Add as Friend button on someone's profile. Why not try adding the guide writer as a friend?
Newspaper
Newspapers are places for longer messages, articles which are one of the main ways to communicate in eRepublik.
Newspaper articles appear on the main eRepublik page and are sorted by Nation, Votes and Time created. You can add a Vote to articles which you like, or even Subscribe to the best newspapers.
At Level 8 you can create your very own newspaper for 2 Gold, which you can name and create an avatar for.
Wiki Page
After you have been playing eRepublik for a while, you may like to register an account on this Wiki and add a page about your own citizen's accomplishments.
Your citizen page is accessible from your profile and will be accessed more and more as your fame grows.
Political Party
At Level 7 you can join a Political Party which matches your aims, ideology or friends.
The friends which you make in your party will aid your journey in this game for more than this guide can!
