Recruit is the lowest military rank in the New World added in 2011[?], however, recruit can also mean a new member in a military unit.

Recruits orders

Example of default recruit orders.

In the past, when citizens entered an in-game military unit, they would have a recruit status.

To become a full member of the military unit they had to fulfil the following requirements:

  • reach certain military rank (default was Icon rank Sergeant.png Sergeant)
  • defeat 25 enemies as a member of the military unit (10 at some point)

Note: Military unit commander could change the rank requirement, so it was not the same in every unit.
