Synopsis
This article presents game play mechanics used in order to determine which regions can be attacked and when those regions can be attacked in a war between two countries. The country which declares a war to another country is considered to be Invader and the country to which the war has been declared is considered to be Victim. The side which can initiate an attack of an enemy region is considered Attacker and the side which defends the attacked region is considered Defender.
Mechanics
Attacker and/or Defender?
In the first 24 hours after the war proposal has been accepted by the Congress, only the Invader has the option to attack an enemy region (only that country can be Attacker). If more than 24 hours have passed, both countries gain the Attacker status.
What regions can be attacked?
In any given moment, the side(s) with Attacker status can initiate a battle from a region with the following conditions:
- the region from which the attack is initiated is bordering at least an enemy region;
- the region from which the attack is initiated is not involved in any normal battles or resistance wars.
How often can a region be attacked?
If a region is secured, the country which attacked (and lost) cannot attack the SAME region until 72 hours have passed from the beginning of the battle which resulted in the securing of the region.
The above game play mechanic does not apply to resistance wars.
Resistance wars
How often can you start RWs?
If a region is conquered by the Attacker, a resistance war cannot be started for 10 minutes since the end of the normal battle. In rest, you can start a resistance war in any region, without any limitations.
