SOS Brigade is an acronym for "Sekai wo Ooini moriagerutame no Suzumiya Haruhi no dan" (世界を大いに盛り上げるための涼宮ハルヒの団), or Suzumiya Haruhi's Brigade To Greatly Enliven the World in English.
The organization was first formed by Tohru to serve for the functions and expansions of Haruhiism. After the eReligion died down, the organization was abandoned and the newspaper attached to the organization had all articles deleted.
Recently, however, it has been reactivated. It's newspaper, SOS Brigade Bulletin, was lent to Faeyas for use in the SOS Brigade party, and the organization itself was revamped as a business organization, forming its first company in Tyrol, Austria.
The organization was owned and operated by close friends Tohru and Oraizan.
