October 2010 Presidential Election
Sebastian Somar ran in the October 2010 Canadian Presidential Elections on the Rhinoceros Party of Canada ticket. He received 22 (4.92%) of 447 votes.
March 2011 Presidential Election
Sebastian Somar ran in the March 2011 Canadian Presidential Elections on the Disestablishmentarianism Party ticket. He received 32 (4.72%) of 678 votes.
Military
Sebastian Somar has been a member of the Canadian Armed Forces since May 29, 2010. He was in the 3rd Rangers Division, 6th Platoon from the time of his enlistment until June 17, 2010 when he was transferred to the 2nd Reserves Division, 32nd "The Black Watch" Platoon. With the start of "V2" Sebastian was transferred to 1st Division Reserve Artillery, 1st "Steel Rain" Platoon. In February of 2011 the Reserves were dissolved and 1st Division Reserve Artillery, 1st "Steel Rain" Platoon became just Artillery Division, 1st "Steel Rain" Platoon. In September of 2011 the CAF was restructured and Sebastian was transferred to Army Division, 3rd "Shuttlecocks" Platoon. On October 15, 2011 Sebastian was transferred to CAF Stormtroopers. Following his resurrection in 2016 Sebastian rejoined the CAF.

Sebastian Somar is the Press Director of The Rhino Post, a small newspaper in Canada with 20 subscribers. The Rhino Post was originally intended to be the official newspaper for the now defunct satire party, the Rhinoceros Party of Canada, but due to apathy on Sebastian's part neither the party nor the newspaper really took off. Now from time to time Sebastian posts a joke for his own general amusement and to try to make a few people laugh but for the most part the newspaper has never taken off.
