Slavonia (Croatian: Slavonija) is a geographical and historical region in eastern Croatia. It is bordered by the Drava river to the north, the Sava river to the south, the Illova river to the west and the Danube river to the east. While generally known as a lowland, Slavonia actually has a number of hills.

The largest and the capital city of Slavonia is Osijek, the fourth largest city in Croatia. Osijek is the economic and cultural centre of the eastern Croatian region of Slavonia.
