I realize that a different name could have been used. However, the nature of this action prevents easy labeling. The USA sent troops to fight in Turkey... in order to free Greek and Israeli regions. Calling it the American-Turkish war would imply one invading the other, instead of sending a force there while never declaring a thing. Greco-Israeli-Turkish War is unwieldy. There have already been a Greek Independence War and an Israeli Independence War. Anti-Turkish Liberation War tells what happened... and sounds like American propaganda. This was essentially an undeclared war between two sides on behalf of two other sides. If someone knows a Turkish name for this, please say so on here. --Mjb Silent 02:55, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
