Usage

This template goes on a top of a citizen article by stating the person who receives the order and the person who appoints it.

Depending on the level, this award can have different layers, which can be:

• Member of the British Empire (it is automatically added by using the code above)
• Officer of the British Empire
• Commander of the British Empire
• Knight Commander of the British Empire
• Knight Grand Cross of the British Empire

To change the level, simply add the abbreviation at the end of the code. Following are examples of how to assign correct award to a citizen:
