History

MaartenW built his own private party called 'onomnomnom' of the remains of an another inactive party. It was nowhere near serious, and that was one of reasons why the highest member count was 3. One day however, MaartenW abandoned the party, as a result Tonie112 came to power. He quickly reformed the party to his own liking, together with MaartenW who returned to the party. The party was renamed to Dutch Nationalists, focusing on maintaining the Dutch culture.

Dutch Nationalists wasn't a success however, it's idea's were narrow minded and wouldn't work out. The party management reflected their idea's and decisions and came out with a surprising solution. Dutch Nationalists was quickly changed to The Internationalists, a party focusing on internationalizing the Dutch community.

The new and fresh party enjoyed a member increase, one day it had 2 members, some time later it had around the 15 members, where is has been hanging ever since. TI was now the sixth party of The Netherlands, only the [Workers Party] could stop them from entering congress. TI surprised the Dutch country once again when their party president 'Tonie112' ran for Country President. He took that decision because besides Iron & Wine member Garmr no one had candidated. Hope for victory was not high, but with the The Libertarian Social Democrats supporting Tonie112 he still collected 44 votes, or 28.95% of the votes.

After this adventure the future for TI looked grim and dark. It was stuck around 15 members, to get in the top 5 more than 50 members were needed. The party and it's activity slowly died. Opportunities came however when the fifth party, Communist Party NL, lost some members, and then only 39 members were needed to seize the 5th spot. A big campaign has started to make use of CPNL's collapse and get enough members to represent TI in congress in September.

Value's

Internationalism & Home Affairs

We stand for an internationalized community, a community where we can have all different kind of cultures living next to each other, a country which can act as a safe haven for those who want/have to escape their own country. We therefore want to maintain the current language use, English as main language, so that foreigners can also participate in our country, and Dutch as secondary language, for translations for people who prefer to read Dutch.

Foreign Affairs

The Netherlands are nowhere near self-suffiency, we only produce grain. That's why greater foreign relations would more than benefit us, benefits which our ambassadors should take care of. Ultimately we want to start talks with other West-European countries about merging, like France, Belgium, The United Kingdom and Germany. It will be a nation that can measure up against other global powers, and a great asset to Phoenix, as we are one centralized state instead of the sum of all those smaller parts.

Defense

We are not pacifist, we are an international orientated party and would describe our defense policy interventionist , always searching for an opportunity to join in a war. This is very important, as our whole economy runs on war, think about the helicopter, artillery, rifle and tank companies which produce products which we battle with, and the food/house companies which restore wellness lost in battle. Without war those companies won’t sell their products, and as a result they need to give out a very low wage and sometimes even need to fire their employees and close their company.

Population

For months parties are attracting votes with promising the so called 'babybooms'. They almost never succeed in even attracting new citizens, and when they do attract them, most of them usually leave after some weeks, if not days. We will also try to plan an efficient babyboom program, in which the citizens will stay, but we also support an increase of our population by immigration; immigrants are most of the time active and experienced players, players which our country could really use.
