Con il termine tool si indicano le applicazioni che, elaborando informazioni provenienti dal gioco, offrono servizi aggiuntivi; essi vengono sviluppati privatamente dai giocatori e non sono in alcun modo connessi dal Team di eRepublik.

Le eAPI sono un set di servizi aperto al pubblico e che può essere utilizzato per programmare applicazioni di terzi che si basano su informazioni dal gioco. I dati vengono raccolti nei formati XML e JSON.

I tool sono legali?
Le norme vigenti in materia sono stabilite nei Termini di Servizio, all'art. 5.
5.1 You agree that you shall not (and you agree not to allow any third party to):
5.1.1 modify, adapt, translate, or reverse engineer any portion of the Website and/or the eRepublik.com Service;

In sintesi, utilizzare tool che si basano sulle API non a scopo di lucro non infrange norma alcuna. Inoltre, tool sono ospitati su siti terzi e, quindi, non modificano in alcun modo come il browser interpreta le pagine di eRepublik. In questa maniera, invece, operano i cosiddetti script (generalmente estensioni o add-ons) e i bot (servizi che automatizzano azioni, spesso utilizzati per gestire facilmente i fake, realizzando le cosiddette bot-farm). Sia gli script sia i bot sono pertanto perseguibili. Difatti, diversi utenti, come testimoniato da questa conversazione, sono stati puniti con il ban per IP per aver utilizzato uno script largamente diffuso.

Di seguito, una lista con alcuni dei tool più utili in circolazione. Non sono realizzati dagli sviluppatori di eRepublik, ergo chiunque li utilizzi lo fa a proprio rischio e pericolo.
Sviluppato da xenophob Questo sito contiene diversi calcolatori, uno per le palestre (che serve a valutare la sostenibilità economica delle soluzioni di allenamento), uno per calcolare il danno inflitto da un cittadino con varie qualità di armi ed offre la possibilità di inserire un immagine nei proprio articoli che funge da contatore di visite sugli stessi. Le altre features sono incomplete o non funzionanti.
