Now you can see you have all four training grounds available, and these ones cost gold to use. Each of these can be upgraded to increase the amount of strength they give you each time you use them, however the ‘paid’ training grounds are pretty useless to you for now, so we won’t look at them until much later on. However, upgrading the ‘free’ training ground is the cheapest and most efficient investment we can make: and this is why we won’t be spending any gold - so we can save up for this upgrade. There are monthly discounts, so we’ll be hoarding our gold until the next offer comes, and upgrading once a month until it’s fully upgraded. Now, back to the missions.

The next 3 are all military related: Gain the rank of private Defeat 5 enemies Reach level 5

Let’s try to do them all at once. First go to the campaign of the day (you can see this at the bottom of this screenshot):

Next click the button to the right of the fight button, and select the option on the far left with the infinity sign (some browsers will also display -1). This makes you fight without any sort of weapon or booster. When you get more advanced you only want to fight with the highest quality (Q7) weapons. But for now, let’s save money and get those missions done

Sometimes you can also get money by selecting combat orders like this:

When the combat order is green, it means it is active, and fighting now will result in an automatic payment to you. The figure shown is 40 GBP for every 1 million damage we do. As there is no way we’ll be able to do 1 million damage, each kill we do will be paid pro rata, so if we did 10,000 damage, we would receive an amount of GBP equivalent to 0.4 GBP. You’ll note that this is a tiny amount, and you are not wrong! There is, however, another type of fighting which is not only more favorable to us when we collect combat orders, but it’s also much easier for newer players to become competitive and strong in. We will use this type of battle to fight tomorrow: for now, let’s complete our mission!

Private rank achieved!

Free food for completing that mission, and doing so opens up the reward screen. Every time you ‘rank up’ your damage will increase by 5%. Your damage per hit is calculated using your strength (which we gain daily using training grounds, as we did earlier) as well as your rank. Every time you fight, you receive rank points, and when you hit a certain amount, you will trigger a rank up, which will increase further damage done by 5% per hit, and give you an energy bar. These energy bars are expensive to buy: so we will save them for another time - don’t waste these! Three free Q5 weapons, an experience point and… Level 4! Which refills my energy bar. Helpful as I don’t have any energy right now. Every time you level up, you will receive 1 gold, and a free refill of your energy bank. Right now our energy bank and energy store aren’t so big, so when we level up it isn’t a huge amount of energy, but in the future, we’ll need to start thinking about tactical levelling up to ensure we don’t waste any energy gain. For now though, as we’re just starting out, the level ups are calculated based on tasks that will leave you with 0 energy, so we don’t need to worry about this yet.
