The Army Ranger Division was first formed by GEN Mishu, of the United States Army, in September 2008. It was later ressurected when 3rd (US) Infantry Division in May 2009. It was later disbanded and all personnel transferred to the Airborne. However, it was later re-ignited in the Army Rangers Program, continued in both Army Groups after the split of the US Army, and was grandfathered in to the United States Cavalry. It was used for a variety of tasks, before eventual deactivation on the 15th of October 2010.

History

Birth of the Army Rangers

? Battalions? Companies?

  • February 2010, Gen Hadrian X split the Army into 3 branches: The Army Rangers Battalion transferred to Army High Command.

The ARMY Split

The original Ranger Battalion of the US Army was transferred to United States Army High Command, whilst in the United States Army Group East, the Ranger Division was under the command of LTCOL Ethix.

Rebirth in the United States Cavalry

The Ranger Division was grandfathered in from the Cavalry's predecessor, Army Group East. Throughout it's operation, it was used first as a high activity & strength combat unit, and then as an battle commander training unit in Erepublik V2. The Ranger Division was last under the command of Avruch and his XO Bishop M. It was deactivated on October 15, 2010 for lack of mission and personnel.

Structure & Organization

The different stages of the various Ranger programs make it hard to piece together the structure and organization of the force definitevly, however it is known that at one point, the Rangers program was comprised of only a Company of men, later a Battalion, at some point the entire 3rd Division, and later a new cavalry Division, in which there were two "teams", or platoons, of men.

During the United States Ranger Division's activity in the Cavalry, it initially had much freedom over recruitment, training and operations, operating it's own initial training course for new recruits, the Ranger Indoctrination Program (more commonly known as "Ranger School"). Later, however, this freedom was clamped down upon, with the unit being forced to select new troops from within the Cavalry. With it's declining number of rangers due to Version Two's population decreases, it was eventually decided to deactivate the Ranger program.
