I joined eRepublik by invitation of a friend from Estonia. Joining the game I had to select a country, I picked the Netherlands as I am a Dutch citizens in real life. I started playing the game for my friend reaching level 20 and enjoyed the war module. Being a soldier for a long time I wanted to explore the political module as that is one of the key aspects of the game. It took me two years before I finally convinced myself that I should serve a government.
