Congressional Candidate Speech

Party-Libertarian Party.gif
Dear citizens of Illinois: As you can see I am attempting to run for congress of this great state. If I am elected, I will vote to keep taxes at a minimum and speak out against wasteful government spending and redundant proposals as I did before. Additionally, I will do my best to prevent unnecessary declarations of offensive wars, unless the government has a solid plan, both financially and socially. I am of the belief that unless the government is smart about it, the upfront cost of war and subsequent attacks will not be offset by the temporary increase in GDP, it only leads to turbulence in most areas of the market which lasts beyond the war, which has been proven time and time again. Don't get me wrong though, I am not completely anti-war, I am a veteran of the marines after all, but I believe that anything worth doing is worth doing right. We have to make sure that before going to war, we have a solid plan that can be agreed upon by both military buffs and economists to ensure that we can fight and win as efficiently as possible.

I am not happy with the economic decisions made by the previous congress and I am going to do whatever it takes to have them reversed. It seems as if them and I are looking at completely 2 different sets of statistics if they actually think that their changes are bringing any sort of positive gain to our economy. I believe it's time we get people in government who actually have an understanding of cause and effect when it comes to Erepublik economics.

My Political Career:

During my time here in Erepublik, I have gained a fair amount of political experience. I served multiple terms in Congress and was the first active mayor of Little Rock. As mayor of Little Rock, I began a gift program, educated new players and began raising funds towards the goal of purchasing a hospital, which was later obtained when Angrr took office. As a congressman, I regularly voted against redundant proposals and what I felt to be excessive taxes and never abstained from voting.

Resume:

  • Mayor of Little Rock (Pre-V1)
  • 2 Term Congressman
  • US Marine - Bravo 1
