Accounts recovery

@Andycro Hi ... I was contacted in-game by Paul Tyndale who told me that a few players have been trying to recover their wiki accounts for a while now and can't get a response. One has said he's been waiting for months. Can you do something about it? Templates

Hi Andycro, bit of a request - I'd like to be able to use a bio template for The Real Spamicans page (https://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/Template:The_Real_Spamicans/personalities/1) but as I understand it I need an engineer to activate the template for me. It would just be the user image and a couple of lines about how they helped the party (like this = https://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/The_Real_Spamicans/personalities/2)

@Mr Woldy: Can you make what you would like in your Sandbox? That would be the best to see what you really want, I can tweak it a bit and implement it to Template namespace. Alternatively, make a picture and I can do it at some point. :P My guess is you would maybe like to create a Portal page for the party? You can use some other portals as inspiration, f.x. eUk Portal Updates

Hi Andycro! Me again.

You have probably noticed a lot of work going on with the eUK pages, I was wondering if it was possible to update some of the portal names on the eUk Portal? (https://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/Portal:United_Kingdom)

Specifically for the Local news to become 'Top Tips', selected article to be 'From the Archives...' and World news to be 'Calendar Events'. I can update the content if the names can be changed, and it will help me put content there which shouldn't need regularly updating.

I also would appreciate any advice on how to fix the height of the bio box to fit user avatars :D

List of governments of countries

Some of the Government of the Countries Wiki pages are far too big for a single page (e.g. List of governments of Austria, List of governments of Belgium, List of governments of Croatia etc...)

Propose creating subpages (few already have Subpages created). I would like to use same/similar design for all countries.

List of governments of Belgium Main Page uses Template:Governments of Belgium by month to point to Sub pages. I personally dislike this as it will create thousands of pages that will only have few lines of text inside. I prefer Yearly Sub pages (something like in Congress election results).

Croatia already uses yearly Template for Subpages, but no subpages were created... all the info is still on the main page. However, template in question, Template:Croatian politics uses all three types of government in same template. No other countries do that. So implementing this template would be a huge amount of work.

Another alternative is to simply use a link to point to a subpage, as in Congress pages. This would be my preferred option (no templates, initially less work, create links as you go... no unnecessary red links pointing to pages that will never be created.) --Sre8renica (talk) 03:51, 15 August 2023 (PDT)

@Sre8renica: Croatia is unique because it was part of the politics overview back in the day that had sense; I would like to keep some of the templates unique; at least the ones that are being worked on. List of governments of Croatia is a long-lasting project of mine, takes a lot of time to dig out all of the references, validate data, etc. so please do leave it as it is;

I am very happy to leave any page/country you wish, so that I do not end up doing all the work.

I think that List of governments of Austria/2009; List of governments of Austria/2010; etc. is a much better solution than going month by month as Belgium does but I would keep the Belgium past as it is for now and just focus on the current ones /2023; we can always deal with these mergers later; For me the most important would be to track the current information and we can always deal with other stuff later;

Bottom line - if you want to start making this "nicer", I would recommend that you start with the current data ... List of governments of COUNTRY/2023 and that we deal with a previous one a bit later on; and please do not worry too much if there are red links active, it also helps me to see if some pages are missing; so feel free to create templates with red links... Congress of Country category

@Sre8renica: Yes, after a long period of soul-searching... Congress of Country and History of Country categories on all Congress of Country pages, including main and subpages. Additionally on the main page Congress of Country we put the Category:Lists of congresses by country. This I consider to be standardised now. Of course, some Congresses have to be sorted out (f.x. Congress of Bulgaria, Philippines and Bundestag) which we just leave out for now because it will take days/weeks to sort out. I still believe the priority should be continuously updating current data - historical is a pain in the ... Also - although you didn't ask xD - similar rule is to be followed for the governments; Politics of Country and History of Country categories on all List of governments of Country pages, including main and subpages.
