MoY

What is "MoY"? --Belea2008 21:35, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Ministry of Youth. I have also seen it as Ministry of Education. Icon-Bulgaria.png V3n0M93 | Talk 21:38, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
Thank you. My opinion: we should not add MoY to this table because it is a position which does not involve communication/cooperation with other countries. Thoughts? --Belea2008 21:40, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
OK. What about where there are many people on one post. For example now in Bulgaria there are 4 Mod - one for regular army, on for the elite squad, one for the paramilitary and one for coordination with EDEB and Terra. Also there are 3 MoFas - a MoFA, a vice-MoFA and a MoFA for the diplomatic corps. Also MoD should be changed to MoD/MoW as for example in Bulgaria it is called Ministery of War. vCP instead of MoE

So, we discussed on IRC and decided that we should use "vice president" instead of "minister of economy" or "minister of finance". --Belea2008 21:46, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

I think it's not the same. A vCP is the one who makes the decisons when the president is away and usually has the password to his account in case something has to be done urgently. MoE is the guy who runs the National Bank and the State Companies.Icon-Bulgaria.png V3n0M93 | Talk 21:51, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
I raised the point of replacing MoE/MoF with VP. The issue is, if we add MoF/MoE, do we then go and add every other Cabinet position, including those specific to only a few countries? I think VP is of much more importance than MoE in this context. As a CP or member of government looking to contact a foreign government, I'm most interested in CP, VP, MoFA and MoD. - Zamrg 22:07, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
I missunderstood the change. I agree that CP,VP, MOFA and MoD are the most importantIcon-Bulgaria.png V3n0M93 | Talk 22:13, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Removed Chat column

Another discussion on IRC: adding the column here also is redundant because there is the same info in Community communication page. --Belea2008 22:09, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Name of Page

As discussed on IRC, the page name 'Diplomacy' doesn't quite describe the content of this page. Diplomacy concerns relations and negotiations among nations, where as this page is a goto guide for contacting a nation's representatives. Any suggestions? - Zamrg 22:31, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Suggestion: World leaders or Diplomat list --Icon-Croatia.png Dalibor / Talk 23:39, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

Misleading title

Misleading title for this. Diplomacy? Diplomacy should be about diplomacy. Not a list like this. --Aryamehr Flag of Iran talk 21:36, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

See also the previous section. Do you have any suggestions for a better name for this article? --Belea2008 21:59, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
Ops, I did not see that, apologizes. Suggestions: Cabinet of [country] (that way, we can have a bit history too), List of country ministers, List of ministers, List of governments, List of national ministers, List of heads of state and government, Cabinets of the World, Governments of the World, Ministers of the World, List of national cabinets, List of office-holders, List of incumbents, List of ministers by country.
For me it does not matter which one, but I think "List of office-holders" is actually a good one. --Aryamehr Flag of Iran talk 09:39, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
So? Are we going to have a debate about this for a year or can we start making some changes around here? Aryamehr Flag of Iran talk 09:21, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
? I will change this if nobody comments then. If I care that much to say, depends on the day and time. --Aryamehr Flag of Iran talk 05:54, 6 May 2011 (PDT)

Moving to my userspace

Taking under account that (a) no consensus has been reached regarding the proper naming of this page and (b) very probably no one will continue this project for the next months, I've taking the liberty to move this one to my userspace. Thank you! --Belea2008 15:03, 6 May 2011 (PDT)

No you thank you. --Aryamehr Flag of Iran talk 05:58, 8 May 2011 (PDT)
