Calling for help

Instead of adding it to Belea's growing to-do list, I decided to get a start on a template for people to call for help to resolve an argument. I'm basing most of it off of Template:Helpme, with a few customizations. I need help with a few things:

  1. If all of the Uber Editors were to add Category:Active Disputes to our watchlists, would we be informed whenever a page is added? If not, what do you recommend?
    1. Don't think so. --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core have a biscuit 19:42, 2 December 2008 (EET)
  2. Can you help me move the Uber Editor badge to the top left corner whenever the template turns into a list?
    1. Ok, I'll try. --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core have a biscuit 19:42, 2 December 2008 (EET)
  3. What else does this template need to be effective?
    1. Maybe generate a warning for uber editors --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core have a biscuit 19:42, 2 December 2008 (EET)

I'm going to use all of this to make a similar template to inform us of editors who need general help, but I wanted to get this one (The difficult one) done first. - –Dr. AgentChieftain Flag of the Crescent and Star PPP! B / C / D / F / P / S 23:21, 1 December 2008 (EET)

By the way, nice talk page template. - –Dr. AgentChieftain Flag of the Crescent and Star PPP! B / C / D / F / P / S 23:23, 1 December 2008 (EET)

?

When you add templates to pages, why don't you copy/paste an entire template? If a person hasn't used a template in the first place, they are usually not inclined to look for a more complete one....--QJ Lincoln 20:54, 4 December 2008 (EET)

You're right --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core have a biscuit 21:44, 4 December 2008 (EET)

Thank you Bill, i'm trying to learn more about wiki system... :) --emredo Ottoman's GrandChild Do you want Turkish Raki? 16:05, 5 December 2008 (EET)

Changing Template:Citizen

I want to add multiple terms listed under the same header for {{Citizen/Office}}, since it would be a lot less sloppy than the current manner of using multiple headers for the same position (In the case of nonconsecutive terms). However, I'm not sure how I would make this change without drastically altering the parameters, which would break the template on a majority of Citizen pages. Can you give me a hand?

The only way I can think of adding more parameters would be to name them something else ({{{secondterm1_begin|}}}, {{{secondterm1_end|}}}... ), but this might end up making the template more confusing for inexperienced editors. Any ideas on how to do it without further complicating things? - –Dr. AgentChieftain Flag of the Crescent and Star PPP! B / C / D / F / P / S 06:05, 12 December 2008 (EET)

I have just been doing it manually, see Allyenna. Templates seem to confuse enough people as it is.... --QJ Lincoln 06:10, 12 December 2008 (EET)
I'd definitively go with "manual" --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core have a biscuit 19:35, 13 December 2008 (EET)

Translating a page

Hello, I'm new to wikis, but I'd like to help. For a start, I'd like to translate the tutorial into romanian. How can I do that? Thanks --Phreakazoid 15:47, 18 December 2008 (EET)

I've added Romanian to the language menu. Just click on the red links and create new pages --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core have a biscuit 16:29, 18 December 2008 (EET)
Thank you :) --Phreakazoid 17:37, 19 December 2008 (EET)

Header to light blue?

Did you change the header to light blue? it looks bad with the harsh red and blue links.... --QJ Lincoln 19:11, 18 December 2008 (EET) and even worse on gray.... --QJ Lincoln 19:12, 18 December 2008 (EET)

Yes, it was a mistake, I'm reverting right now :( [I'll use my sandbox next time [omitted]] --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core have a biscuit 19:13, 18 December 2008 (EET)
That shade of light blue is just ugly.... OH NOES It hurts my eyes. :P --QJ Lincoln 19:34, 18 December 2008 (EET)

Template:Portal:Box-header and Template:Portal:box-footer

I have no idea why these little [omitted] aren't working for me, but I think that our parser works differently than Wikipedia's. Any idea on how to get the parser to stop automatically closing the <div> tags in Template:Portal:Box-header? - –Dr. AgentChieftain Flag of the Crescent and Star PPP! Che lavoraccio!

Grazie per la formattazione, non sapevo si potesse usare Elink (ho guardato nei templates e non c'era..)... Scusami per il lavoraccio! pier4reich

Lo aggiungo or ora, tra l'altro devo aggiungere anche {{Ref}} --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core have a biscuit 19:10, 28 December 2008 (EET)

(I hate not being able to read talk pages, so heres a translation :) ) Thank you for formatting, I didn't know you could use Elink (i saw templates and it wasn't there..)... Sorry for hard work! pier4reich

I'm adding it right now, btw, I must remeber to add {{Ref}} --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core have a biscuit 19:10, 28 December 2008 (EET)

Help for LangMenu template

Minibill puoi dirmi come funziona il Template LangMenu? Non l'ho capito bene (vedo solo <{{>Langmenu2| TitoloPagina<}}>. Grazie.

--Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core have a biscuit 00:25, 31 December 2008 (EET)

Grazie. pier4reich
Ok! Come avevo mezzo intuito! --pier4reich

Language Template?

The following pages also have pages in another language. Can you add the language template? I do not know how to add a new language to it.

You just missed one text: [1] --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core have a biscuit 15:09, 10 January 2009 (EET)

I see and fix this but there's one problem too. Like this example Antu Cumhuriyet Partisi, when i roll over the logo there's no break the last two word, it must be like this Partisi Logosudur. How can we solve this? --emredo aka equilibrium1907 || Turkish Citizen || Fenerbahçe Supporter || 16:28, 10 January 2009 (EET)

Solved? --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core have a biscuit 16:47, 10 January 2009 (EET)

No. It looks like PartisiLogosudur but it must be Partisi Logosudur. I can't add a break between of two words. :) --emredo aka equilibrium1907 || Turkish Citizen || Fenerbahçe Supporter || 17:00, 10 January 2009 (EET)

Jewworks Industries

"What's this page?" I am working on the org in-game to work in between my other org Jewron and any clients that wish to be loaned. Th wiki would hold information about the services of Jewworks Industries and would hold "example" contracts and policies. I was in a hurry to make a loan and typed up that document, and I was on a friend's computer and had no where else to save it. It will be updated fully by the end of this weekend, I promise! :D ---Jewitt, Amateur. 22:12, 2 January 2009 (EET)

We have tried to help Ruslan Adiev by creating a new template:

We have tried to follow your instructions here: http://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/Bar#How_to_translate_a_template, but we are stuck - therefore we kindly ask you to write a more detailed set of instructions on how to make a template "international" starting from scratch.
