Vasmegye is a traveler, a journalist and a politican in the New World, who starts playing eRepublik 3 years ago. During this 3 years, he visited 70, lived in 69, and was a citizen in 4 countries. He started 2 bigger travel projects (1 finished, 1 in progress), wrote more than a hundred articles, and served several times as congressman, party president or government member. Nowadays he sets an aim to find alternative ways of playing this military oriented game.
Early life
Vasmegye was born in 22nd March 2009 in Western Transdanubia, Hungary 40 days after the famous index-boom of Hungary. He was a two clicker in his first three months due to his RL duties. During this three months he lived in some Hungarian colonies, including Urals, Nordjylland and North Caucasus. After the decision of releasing Urals to Russia he decided to start a new life in abroad.
Traveler
Travel project I: Living in every country
After a failed PTO in Slovakia in August 2009 he moved back to Indonesia and began his travel project. He stayed at least one week, usually 15 days in every country, which he visited, worked there, and fought for it or its allies.
Subsequently he put Hungary and Indonesia as the first and second destination of the project, after that he continues the tour in Russia, then Iran. After living in the Iranian Empire he moved through Switzerland to the UK, where he started the first European part of the project, which contained the PEACE and PHOENIX countries in Europe, and it finished in the neutral Belgium.
In March 2010 started the second part of the project, which included the Latin-American countries of the game and lasted up to August 2010. The third part started in the autumn of that year, he visited the Oceanian and Asian countries, including the newly added Arab states.
About a year later, he came back to Europe, and travelled to the countries, that he didn't visit in the first part. After that - mostly EDEN and pro-EDEN - countries, he moved to North America, and finished the tour in the USA, announced it in this article. However, he failed: he didn't live in Denmark.
Travel project II: Operation 'The World Is Not Enough'
In the last days of the first project he wrote an article about the future: he stated, that he would like to visit all regions of the New World. This project is in progress, he started it on August 14th, 2012, in Catalonia.
Politican
Hungary I
During his two-clicker period he joined some parties for a day, for example MKKP, PPL and IndExpanzio, but he had generally a non-politican attitude, therefore he participated in an ATO in Thailand, and the congressional PTO of Canada in 25th June 2009 as a mobile voter.
Slovakia
In August 2009 together with Rommel Erwin he got citizenship in Slovakia. There vasmegye joined the Hungarian minority party, and ran for congress in Eastern Slovakia, but he hadn't got success. After this failure he remained Slovakian until the end of September '09.
Switzerland I
At the end of September 2009 he moved to Switzerland, and gained automatically citizenship because of the old "no congress" rule. Later he contacted with the Swiss community on IRC, joined Swiss Liberal Party, and voted for SLP candidates in congressional and presidental elections, but he weren't very active. He changed his Swiss citizenship after a month.
Hungary II
He got back his Hungarian citizenship in 22th November 2009. The main reason of homecoming was an assumed position in the government of candidate Lisztes. Vasmegye joined Magyar Hazafiak Pártja (MHP). But Lisztes lost against Feherlofia Koppany on the election in December '09, and there weren't any more reason to stay.
Switzerland II
Vasmegye's citizenship request in Switzerland was approved at the end of January 2010. Like his first period in Switzerland, he entered again SLP, and gave his votes to SLP supported candidates in the elections, but remained semi-active in politics.
During this period, he became known journalist in Hungary, therefore got some invitations to join the MoFA team in Hungary, but he declined all but one cases. In February he served as a deputy MoFA under the short hekkat administration.
South Africa
In the summer of 2010 he joined the group of Hungarian PTOers in South Africa, which group was led by Stadler City, his old friend. Simultaneously he accepted a position in the Hungarian government of Ipath, and served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Under his term he re-managed the ambadassor system of Hungary, but he didn't participate on the Hungarian-South African PTOers-Brazilian negotiations about the future of South Africa due to bias (he was South African citizen and Hungarian minister at the same time).
After his MoFa term, he focused on his South African aims. He entered one of the parties PTOed by Hungarians, and got elected as a congressman in Free State on 25th September 2010. During his first congress term he continued supporting the PTO team, with donation and citizenship approvals. He ran for congress in October again, at that time in Eastern Cape, but he didn't get elected. He remained South African till the end of the year.
Hungary III
Vasmegye became Hungarian at the beginning of 2011 again, he rejoined MHP and continued his political career here. He ran for congress under MHP banner in Western Transdanubia on 25th February, and he won his second congress medal. After that, he got elected as the Speaker of the House in February/March, and became the permanent admin of the Hungarian congress forum. At the beginning of his first term as Speaker he had communication problems with the other congress members, but he got good responses after the term.
Vasmegye was advisor of some governments during the spring and early summer of the year. On 25th June he candidated for congress again in WTD, and he earned again the medal. During this congressional term he proposed an impeachment against president kolosh due to losing of important regions, but the impeachment failed.
After the July 2011 party president election vasmegye was the party president of Hungary's biggest party, the Magyar Hazafiak Pártja. He set an aim to increase party's activity, but he failed beacuse of summer holidays, and became visible at the congress elections in July: MHP gained only 4 seats in congress.
Vasmegye was one of that 4, he won his seat in Jiangxi, and became again the Speaker of the House. He resigned as a Speaker after two and half weeks due to non-cooperative congress members.
He accepted the invitation for being the MoFA again under the term of sorihun, he signed the Hungarian-Croatian NAP in August, which got mostly negative responses, therefore vasmegye was close to resign, but he remained minister at the end of month.
At the end of August he moved to Switzerland, and changed his citizenship due to Hungarian people's mentality. He decided, that he won't be again Hungarian till the game exists.
Switzerland III
Vasmegye joined the Swiss Reform Coalition, the successor of SLP, and continued that semi-active attitude, like in his first 2 cycle in Switzerland, until the end of 2011. Then he followed Rican to establish the new Anti-Imperalist Movement party. He stayed there through two months, then rejoined SRC. He left SRC a few weeks later due to his opinion: he considered the behavior of SRC leaders childish in the debate against the Guillotinist Guild party, then he joined GG.
On 25th April 2012 he ran for congress again, in this case in Romandie under GG banner, and he won his fifth congress medal. Later he ran even twice for congress, but both was unsuccessful, in May he didn't get any vote, in June the Croatians conquered his region before the official end of the election.
After the resigning of Monsieur Guillontine he became the temporary Party President of Guillotinist Guild before the party president election of May. After the termination of the GG party he rejoined AIM and he remains there - with the exception of a week in Green Party - until now. In September 2012 he gained again a congress seat, first time as a member of AIM.
Journalist
Vasmegye opened his newspaper called Vas Ne'pe in November 2009. He wrote articles mostly about diplomacy or military themes - mostly in Hungarian - until he got third time Swiss citizenship. A few months before his last citizenship change he changed his newspaper title to Au Revoir Media Module, he refered, that he gave up his media module career. He become active journalist in the spring '12 with publishing newsflashes and renaming his paper again - to The Swiss Traveller. Before the start of his second travel project the newspaper got a new name - Now Bring Me That Horizon - from the Pirates of the Caribbean series, but the main profile of the newspaper - newsflashes - remains.
Vasmegye got his Media Mogul medal in June 2010 after reaching 1000 subs. His best rated article got 479 votes.
In September 2012 vasmegye became a wiki editor.
Military
Vasmegye is/was a member of these Military Units: Szent Laszlo Szazad, Swiss Armed Force, Hakuna Matata. In Swiss Armed Force he was once also a captain. He is the owner and the commander of Hakuna Matata.
Vasmegye got his first BH medal in February 2011 in a Singapore vs Malaysia battle of Sarawak. He earned most of his BHs and one of his CH, while he fought for Romandie against several countries (for example USA, Slovenia and France).
He gained a Resistance Hero in the summer of 2011, after liberation of Pando, Bolivia.
