:Fine. I will look into the creation of a bot that excludes multiple edits with a difference of 50 or less in a time span of under 2 minutes, --<span style=" color:white; text-shadow:red 0.0em 0.01em 0.1em; font-family: Georgia;">Code-Y</span> Talk/Projects 07:19, 3 July 2012 (PDT)

:Fine. We shall have this discussion on IRC. I am more for a rules page that clearly outlines what we consider spam edits so there's no more confusion. --<span style=" color:white; text-shadow:red 0.0em 0.01em 0.1em; font-family: Georgia;">Code-Y</span> Talk/Projects 07:19, 3 July 2012 (PDT)

Rewards:

Year 2012
Year 2011

Dear citizens,

The eRepublik Official Wiki has become an important element of the New World. Citizens use it to get information and to inform others about their country, their parties, their companies, their success or their downfall.

Some of the contributors wish to present facts, while others use their imagination to present the fantasy of the New World. We thank them all and we wish to reward them monthly for their dedication.

Therefore, on 1st day of a month, a Sysop will publish a list of the 10 (ten) top contributors (for the past month) in this page (excluding Community Officers or any eRepublik administrative accounts).

All contributors will have 7 days at their disposal to comment on the proposal. On the same page, they can propose other authors/editors to receive the reward or they can propose the removal of contributors from that month's reward giving. Based on the comments and feedback we receive, we will announce the final list of the citizens that will receive the reward.

What the reward will be? It'll be 15 GOLD!

Those that do not have a Wiki account can find instructions on how to request one here.

Best regards,
The eRepublik Team.

Congrats everybody. DivesIT please send us your profile link via comment here, thank you. If you're excluded, read the bar about spam edits. -- Wonne 12:19, 01 July 2012 (GMT)

Fastest rewards page creation in a while! --Icon-Canada.pngCode-Y Talk/Projects 04:50, 1 July 2012 (PDT)
Here we go again... Every time an ancient editor doesn't get the reward he/she wraps the rules to their benefit just so he/she will get the reward. How is it that sorting out obsolete data is spamming? Where is that rule? The entire Wiki so abandoned and when someone decides to take matters in his/her own hand he/she gets left-over. The best things is to determine 10 permanent reward-winners and never mind what the new guys do. Just say - "You are spammers!" and the story will end happily. I am not writing this in the Bar section on purpose. Talking there has no result. How is it that this, this and this is not spamming, but my hours and days of editing are? Is it my fault the Macedonian part of the One and Rising versions have been left there for years with no revision what so ever? Sooner or later someone will have to remove them so why not me? This is beyond any logic... -- Icon-Macedonia.png Destroyer S87 19:37, 1 July 2012 (CEST)
Thank you for your input Destroyer, concerning my edits, it was a simple mistake. I meant to go on my bot but instead did it on my main account because I failed to realize I forgot to log out. Even with those edits deducted, I'd still of made top 10. Regarding wonne, his edits are well timed apart. V3n0M93 on the other hand will surely be removed from the list ^_^. Thank you for your input and making sure that everyone is treated equally. Although I'm sure Venoms won't like you very much. --Icon-Canada.pngCode-Y Talk/Projects 13:05, 1 July 2012 (PDT)
I don't see how my edits are spam. The articles names weren't tranlated so I decided to translate them. Even without those edits I still make the top 10. --Icon-Bulgaria.png V3n0M93 | Talk 13:13, 1 July 2012 (PDT)
You are missing the whole point Code-Y - those edits are NOT spam! What is the so called spam? I know what previous month happened was a deliberate exploit of the bot, but instead of trying to fix the mistakes why don't you solve the problem? Change the way it counts the "Top 10" or you will have these kind of misunderstandings all the time. Once again, those articles were obsolete. I changed entire categories, templates all with the intent to sort them out. Where there was no point in translating/editing I did not intervene. Those articles were overcrowding the categories! Do not punish the editors for the fault of the system... -- Icon-Macedonia.png Destroyer S87 23:13, 1 July 2012 (CEST)
You know what, I'm getting bored of this crap. We should decide whether to:
 • Kill the rewards
 • Come up with some smarter contributions counting (bot possibly, *looks at Code-Y*)
 • Exclude nobody at all so everybody can unleash their bots, yay
--Icon-Poland.png Grzechooo drop a line 02:55, 3 July 2012 (PDT)
Option 2 - make a bot that counts the amount of data/bytes/characters/whatever edited. This method is totally unreliable! And also make it count starting from the 1st of the month and restart every 1st. This way you will have 2 tables
 • All time scores
 • This months scores
And all problems will be solved. -- Icon-Macedonia.png Destroyer S87 13:31, 3 July 2012 (CEST)
