The Second PBA Season is the 2nd season of the Philippine Basketball Association. The season formally opened on June 14, 2013, and finished on February 16, 2014. The league used a two-conference format, starting with the Philippine Cup or the traditional All-Filipino Conference. The last conference of the season was the Reinforced Cup with teams having two imports each.

Pre-season Events

Player Movement

  • Red Horse Energy Kings traded JC Intal for Jayjay Helterbrand of the Durex Philippine Eagle.
  • Red Horse Energy Kings traded James Yap for Mark Caguioa of the Pinoy Pao Lapangers.
  • Mang Inasal UnliRice Raiders traded Eric Menk and a second round draft pick for Cliff Hodge and a third round draft pick. The Kings then dealt Menk to the Pinoy Pao Lapangers for a third round draft pick and Froilan Baguion to the Raiders for another third round draft pick. The Kings and Raiders swapped their remaining third round picks.

Notable Occurences

  • On April 29, the Mang Inasal UnliRice Raiders of Holy Kamote joined the league.
  • On May 4, Puma Mouth of mhifzan joined the league.
  • On June 4, the Pinoy Pao Lapangers of Siopawnon joined the league.

  • On October 11, Marlboro Puffers of ryan0818, Gatorade Blue Bolts of arnan, Gnome Hackers of kyoushuu and Burst Fries Little Bursterz of burstv2 joined the league.

Coaching Changes

  • Red Horse Energy Kings Manager and PBA Commissioner Boy Pick Up took over coaching duty for the Manila Rockets after the death of former manager Warlie Zambales Diaz.
