Check out the game

The first thing to do when you join the game is to look around, look around the game, check out the different menus. Check out the economy page, check out the military page. Don't worry, you won't do anything wrong or mess up anything. Learn to navigate the website, see where everything is. Just by navigating, you will understand and see a lot, and it will be much easier to follow this "Getting Started" tutorial once you know where everything is.

Get a job

Usually, the very first thing people do is to put up their CV so that they can get a job, to do so, hold your mouse over "Beta:Economy" and then click on "Find a job". Your CV does not have to be a real one, write whatever you want or don't write anything at all and then pick a domain and choose a salary. Often, you won't get the salary or the domain you picked because almost all of the countries and companies have a salary scheme, for instance, beginners like you that start with 1.00 Skill get for instance "beginner salary" than someone who has 3.00 skill.

To get your job a lot faster, it is recommended that you go to the Marketplace (Economy -> Marketplace) and find the domain you want to work in (Gifts, Moving etc.) and PM one of the company owners requesting a job (Note: You must put up your job application still!)

Join the military

After you have got a job, you can join the military. You can be a worker and a soldier at the same time. Being a soldier is very much appreciated by almost everyone in your country, especially your leader. It's important to be a soldier so that you can defend your country against enemies.

When you join the military, all you do is training your strength (becoming stronger) and participating in fights. You don't get any kind of money, however, some countries have systems that they give money to those with a certain amount of strength.

Join a party

Now after you got a job and joined the military, you can become a politician too. You can be all three at the same time, but most of the time you can only be good at one thing. Browse through the political parties, read their missions, read their goals and see what they say and want. You can do so, by going to Politics -> Join party and then navigating through the different parties.

Once you have selected a party, you should start getting more involved. Try to get higher up in the ladder, get to the top. You can become mayor in different cities, or perhaps if you prove yourself to be active, intelligent, working person then perhaps your party president will make you a congressman candidate so you can join the congress. Why stop there? Go up higher in the ladder and one day you can become a president and run your country and make it one of the greatest countries in the world!

Check out the game again

Now that you are set up with the very basic things, it's important to check out the game again. Check out your country media, see what's new, what's the current events, debates, happenings. Get involved and communicate with the people of the world and your country. As you do that, later you should take a look at the forums - see what the international events are, what people say, what happened, what is happening and many other things. Then take a look at the marketplace, see what items exist, what does not exist and so on. Just navigate through the site again, do a better closer checkup so you can get an idea of what's happening in this game.

Start a newspaper (if you wish)

To get more involved and to be more recognized by others, it's fun and a good idea to start a newspaper. It's free to start a newspaper and you can write articles for people in your country to read, if it gets enough votes - it will go into the international news for the people around the world to read! You can interview people through your newspaper, do different researches, fight against corruption and evilness, send out your messages and opinions.. just use your fantasy BUT keep in mind your articles have to be eRepublik related otherwise they will be deleted, this means no real life news in your eRepublik newspaper.

Get to know your community

Now, you are even more set up. You got an idea of most of the things so now it's important to get more involved in the game so you don't get bored. You should try to find out your country's forum or chat, places where the citizens of your country hang out at, where they discuss matters, have a chat and similar. Get to know the citizens of your country, be involved, change the way your country works and many other things. Start making friends, international friends or friends from your own country! Participate in discussions, give your opinion and have debates.

Then once you are familiar with your own country, why not get into international debates and discussions? Get involved in the international scene. Go to the game forums!
