Economic Free Thinkers Society was a political party in Ireland. At one time EFTS was the largest political party in Ireland. On December 7, 2010 the party was dissolved when Ireland was completely taken over by the UK. As a result Ireland lost all of her parties.

Society Charter

The party will represent the interests of the business community by:

  • Ensure Ireland has Healthy Markets, Fair Taxes, and Inflation under control..
  • Support decision making by government based on reason, data, and facts as opposed to perception
  • Campaign for business and economic education in Ireland as a priority

Taxation

We would strive to keeping taxes as low as possible while balancing the countries spending. The government should be accountable and produce a budget every month and stick to it. There should be transparency in government spending except for areas sensitive to national security.

Government Spending

It is the government’s job to control inflation by policy implementation. Government decisions should be made that do not dramatically increase or decrease the workforce and provide steady battles. The government should also monitor the amount of companies in each sector at each quality level to make sure there is enough completion and not an over saturation in the market place. Nationalization of companies should be used in absolutely essential cases only. The government should monitor competition and impose sanctions on any companies engaged in price fixing.

State companies should be run at full capacity, and used to provide jobs to the newest citizen in times when private companies are not hiring them. State companies should also be used to provide cross training to citizens in skills the private sector is not offering, to ensure the country has the right amount of skills. Private business should never have to compete against public enterprises. The products of state companies should be offered at a discount to new citizens.

Money Market

The EFTS works to Promote Irish Business and is dedicate to supporting new Entrepreneurs. We believe in the buy Irish first programs. Government intervention in business should be kept to a minimum and Freedom of choices should exist in the market. The government should assist business by providing loans to start and upgrade business. They should also provide data on business conditions around the world to give Irish companies a competitive advantage. Business should also be encouraged to start in only two strategic regions to minimize disturbances in case country is invaded.

Political Views

We will not identity with a political orientation of Left or Right, but welcome all members. We will seek out active members who are not afraid to voice there concerns.

No form of group vote management will be used to get members elected to the Dail (Congress) and support for CP (Presidential) candidates is decided based on Fiscal Policy and not personality.

All members’ views will be valued and equally weighted.

A party conference will happen once a month to share ideas and plan a direction for the party.

History

The party was formed by Moo and Nogin in July 10 by taking over an old party with one member. The party quickly grew in the first month increasing in size to 24 members by the end of the month. During the first month the infrastructure of the party was laid. In July the party won 3 congress seats despite only being the 10th biggest in Ireland.

Society Organization

A society is a collection of people working together to supporting each other.

  • A party charter will dictate how all decisions are made democratically.
  • The party forum will be an active place to go to learn and teach others on economic issues.

How Decisions are Made

All major decisions will be put to a vote on the party forum. Anyone wanting to run for CP from any party will be asked to post their economic position on the party forum. 7 days before the election a 48 hour vote will take place. The winner will get party support.

How Support is Offered to Members

We will provide advise on opening a business. We also have a study program for new members. Wealthy members of the party contribute to a fund that provides food and weapons to member below the level of 14 to allow them to spend more time studying. This allows them to gain the skills quicker to earn and contribute more to society.
