Exalted was a soldier of the USA and retired CEO of a company and two newspapers. He was a strong proponent of the fortress system of national defense and a patriot who favors nationalism over state pride. He proudly served as a Private in the United States 101st Airborne Division.

History

The Noob

When Exalted (June 11, 2009) joined the New World on day 569 it was under the darkening clouds of a World War. He was born in Florida, USA and he, much like most Americans at the time, was in blissful ignorance of what affects a full enemy invasion could do to his country.

Like everyone, Exalted experienced the first donations of a welcoming government, was befriended by a mentor and worked diligently for his company. This is when he got to know Hessling who became not only his employer but also his mentor, benefactor, and closest friend in the New World. It was in these first weeks that Hessling's advice and assurances motivated Exalted to stay and make an imprint in eRepublik.

The Publisher

Though still wet around the ears, Exalted wanted good things for his country. With a small amount of real-world investment, he established an organization he called Cutie Patootie Death Commandos. This would act as the hub of whatever kind of empire he would eventually forge. There were two early additions to this dream. Exalted had two newspaper ideas and instead of combining or abandoning either he created one as his personal newspaper and attached the second to his newly-founded organization.

The Big Patootie.jpg
He first built The Big Patootie Newspaper. As a mix of current events, editorials, and interviews (with a Patootie Pinup for some cheesecake) Exalted used this venue to air his politics and patriotism.

The List.jpg
The second newspaper, The List, followed on the heels of the first tabloid enterprise. The List was an annotated list of articles that were must-reads for any American. It included official government publications, editorials on important events, examples of enemy propaganda, and so forth.

Both of these publications lost steam in the closing days of World War III. The need for a patriotic voice and a means to inform the public was in the heart of Exalted. Though it is doubtful that these papers will remain on the shelf indefinitely, they remain so at the time of this writing.

The Entrepreneur

Exalted never had much motivation to profits beyond the funding of his own personal weapon requirements. Through conversations with his friend Hessling (who was and is operating a number of companies) the idea of being his own boss intrigued Exalted. But could such a venture pay enough dividends to keep his weapon cabinet well stocked?

Kute Killerz Company.jpg
Hessling was a strong supporter with both monetary loan assistance and solid advice. Kute Killerz was a Florida-based Weapons company that ran during the darkest days of World War III. Originally Hessling was to supply Exalted's company with cheap Greek Iron from his organization based there. This plan soon fell short and American Iron would rely upon through most of the company's life. Though the company was never lucrative, it did do several important things while its doors remained open.

Kute Killerz educated new employees of the importance of attacking and maintaining high health. Incentives were given out to employees who show a solid work ethic and notes on how to improve were given to employees with flagging productivity. Kute Killerz also paid high wages during these grim times, allowing employees to purchase more guns and directing them through announcements about where and when to fight as per DoD Orders.

With the price wars replacing the military ones at the close of WWIII, Exalted was faced with maintaining his high wages at zero profit (or frequently at a loss) or fluctuating employee wages as per the market's demands. For several months he held out with the high wages—sometimes three to four times that of the competition—but in the end chose to close the doors and wait for new opportunities in the future. Though Kute Killerz is closed, when the prices once again rise, the company will turn on its machines once again and crank out tools of the patriot for the needy soldiers of tomorrow's wars.

The Soldier

Exalted has always favored a strong and organized military but, except for a brief time in the original training corp., avoided a military career. Instead, he followed the ebb and flow of ground wars in the tabloids, followed the DoD Orders diligently, and fought with Weapons nearly every day of WWIII.

During the formative days of the PEACE invasion of the US, Exalted was disgusted with the many US citizens that disregarded their orders for the shortsighted attacks that benefited their states. The choice of many Texans to defend their state rather than Ontario was one example that remains strong in Exalted's memory of American disregard and ignorance of strategic necessity. Such examples have served to solidify Exalted's Nation First mindset and the importance of the Fortress defense.

Exalted decided to make the military a lifestyle rather than a hobby. He sent an application to both the Army and Airborne, was accepted into Army training and, after graduation, was reassigned to Airborne's 101st Division. His old friend and ally, Hessling, was there and the two have participated in a number of missions for American causes.

Exalted was promoted to Icon Field Marshal.jpg V1 Field Marshal at 17:48 on day 858 (March 27th, 2010) fighting for Croatia against Hungary at the Battle of Upper Austria. His side was victorious.

Military Assignments

As a soldier, Exalted was very green. (No pun intended.) Though he has fought through the entirety of WWIII and the Asian campaign with weapons, he has done so by following DoD orders. Beginning in January 2010, he began his military career.

The Politico

Exalted was a long-time member of the United States Workers Party. He has volunteered to move to another state to assist his party candidacies on several occasions. Exalted has also participated in several anti-PTO operations, like the one in Belgium. Though the US has been criticized for how they handled the situation, Exalted continued to fulfil such duties as required by his nation, party, or military.

Exalted has never made an attempt at office, considering himself unqualified for the duty.
