Even though it isn't in use, there is always a chance it could be changed back. Martin made two icons for Mexico which also had a flag change. The templates use the flag approved by the sitting congress. - Hear me out. Although I do respect the lion and sun flag for the eRepublik country, and I completly understand why you want to use it, this icon is used only for the language menu and therefore should be the current (RL) Iranian flag. Use the other icon for anything to do with the country by all means, and replace this one if it is used incorrectly. However an icon for the Persian language should be independent of the eRepublik country. For example, we never changed the Dutch flag in the Language menu to this, nor the German flag to this. I don't want this to become any political issue, it is mainly for the ease of use of anyone who wants to view the wiki in their language. --Martin23230 11:48, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
