Galactic Empire Party
The Galactic Empire Party was a political party in New Zealand.
The party remained a minor force in NZ and was only active in the first few days of New Zealand. The party never had a solid base and was quickly eclipsed by the New Zealand Union Party as the party of the provisional government.
In the run-up to the October parliamentary elections, Adasko decided to dissolve the party and form the Kiwi Social Democrats, in an effort to unite the left-wing members of the Provisional government.
Adasko cemented the party position in New Zealand when he first became party president. He declared that the party is "some relief from the prevailing "internet serious business" mentality. We do not want to make New Zealand a joke, quite the contrary. We want to attract the people disillusioned by other countries, where the game is treated too seriously." .
Ironically, it was because of this mentality that the party was not taken serious and quickly became eclipsed by the NZUP. This would be a primary reason why the KSD decided to adopt a more serious mentality.
