The Galloglass was a Military Unit of Ireland created by Anaille Kolshire months prior to becoming a Military Unit in-game. It was primarily a unit of Irish citizens that wish defend Ireland and her allies against any invaders. Being an Irish citizen was not mandatory for membership. The Galloglass motto translates as "Death arrives on silent wings".

- The name Galloglass was chosen for this group because it in many ways mirrors the true face of the fighting forces of Ireland. From many different lands do we come and call Ireland home, and we defend her first above all others. Historically, the Galloglass was a class of mercenary warriors in Ireland who originated from the highlands and west of Scotland, and descended of both Scottish and Gaelic (Irish) ancestry. Although ultimately independent, Galloglass were traditionally the mainstay military force in medieval Ireland. The popular translation of Galloglass is “foreign young warrior.” As is the case of many living in Ireland, the Galloglass came from regions both inside and outside of Ireland, but with the single goal of defending Ireland and her lords.
- Today, the Galloglass is a tight-knit citizen military organization based in Ireland, gathered together in defence of Ireland’s sovereignty and positive interests. When not directly interacting with the national military in operations central to the interests of Ireland, this organization will provide additional armed support services to countries publicly allied with Ireland, and to those other nations who hold a healthy friendship and accord with Ireland. Galloglass members come from several different nations, including Ireland, the US and Croatia. The common thread among us is a love of this country, its culture and people, and the desire and dedication to keep her safe and sovereign.

- Our primary goals are to defend Ireland and her allies, to encourage a sense of camaraderie, fellowship and unity among our members, and to give the citizens and friends of Ireland an independent alternative to the national military. We also thought it would be a bit of fun to throw down the gauntlet of a damage challenge to the national military and other military organisations every so often...
- The Galloglass is not a geo-political or republican organization. The Galloglass does not publicly profess, prescribe, support, endorse or condone one political or ideological doctrine over another. Galloglass members think, act and speak for themselves. Membership in Galloglass is open to anyone, from any nation, who holds Ireland and her safety close to their heart, who wants to be part of an energetic group of experienced, friendly and helpful players, and is willing to contribute a portion of their online existence to creating something great.
- When we travel as Galloglass, we are fighters, we are friends. Nothing more, nothing less.
