General Information Country Georgia Organisation Led by President Deputy Prime Minister

The Government of Georgia is the executive branch headed by the President of Georgia. The President of Georgia can delegate the Prime Minister or Vice President to be the head of Government. After his/her election, the President decides what ministries should exist and their names.

The government's role is to exercise "general leadership of the public administration", elaborate strategies to implement the government platform, negotiate international treaties, etc. The Government of Georgia represents the state of Georgia both internally and externally and presents information to the citizens of Georgia.

The Government answers exclusively to the Congress of Georgia, and in extreme cases, may vote a motion of removal of the President, withdrawing its confidence and forcing the Government to resign.
