The Government of Ukraine (Ukrainian: Kabinet Ministriv Ukrainy) is the executive branch headed by the President of Ukraine. The President of Ukraine can delegate the Prime Minister or Vice President to be the head of Government. After his/her election, the President decides what ministries should exist and their names.

The government's role is to exercise "general leadership of the public administration", elaborate strategies to implement the government platform, negotiate international treaties, etc. The Government of Ukraine represents the state of Ukraine both internally and externally and presents information to the citizens of Ukraine.

The Government answers exclusively to the Congress of Ukraine, and in extreme cases, may vote a motion of removal of the President, withdrawing its confidence and forcing the Government to resign.
