Nejcman was a citizen of Slovenia.

He was a president of Austria in May 2008.

He was the 6th president of Austria with the support of AW/NSK coalition. He is well known for taking the money from Austrian treasury and transferring it to the Slovenian one. Doing this he made himself many enemies among Italian Austrians (national minority at that time) and Slovenian Austrians (especially from the SPA party). After that incident he quickly became inactive and died few weeks after.
