A region swap is a strategic military move used by many countries in war. There are many variations and ways to perform the move. Usually what occurs is where two countries allied but do not have an Alliance with each other declare war on each other. The stronger country (the country without the border with the target) then attacks the other participating country and conquers regions included in the swap.
- A country first must declare war.
- The stronger country then attacks the country they are region swapping with.
- The country being attacked then retreats the region.
- This gives the attacking country a border with the target.
- The region swap shown here was completed successfully.
