Father (born Peregrine on 29 July 2008) was a politician from the USA who served as the Party president of the United States Workers Party and Vice President of the USA. Father was also a President of South Korea.

History

Father's history can be said to exist in three distinct phases, the first being his period as Peregrine characterized by significant financial success and political success in the USA. The second period was a somewhat more experimental period and coincides with the changing of his name from Peregrine to Father. Following this period he disappeared and was presumed dead prior to returning in December of 2011.

Peregrine Era

Appointment as Vice President

On the eve of V1, President Roby Petric of the USA resigned his position for unknown reasons. Then Vice President, ThisGenMedia took Roby's place. Peregrine was then appointed Vice President.

Presidential Run and Disappearance

After Franco's term ended, Peregrine ran for US president but lost to Benn Dover.

Shortly after, he announced he would step down as USWP party president. Lukasz Makowski won the PP race and succeeded him.

A short time later, Peregrine's account became an organization, and he disappeared. It is now believed he resides in South Africa under a mysterious new persona, and is tied to the INGSOC movement.

INGSOC Era

Along with friends Teacher and Watcher (both missing and presumed dead) Father founded The Party as a poorly understood political experiment and an attempt to explore the theory of Command Economy in the new economic environment of V1. Try as they might to maintain a darkly humorous pseudo-Orwellian society, their experiment ran afoul of various interests and dissolved after six weeks, the last four of which were spent directly in charge of South Korea running as a complete but controversial experimental command economy. Shortly after the dissolution of The Party Father disappeared along with the other leaders of the organization and was not to be seen or heard from again for nearly 3 years.

Return

Peregrine returned from seclusion on 17 December 2011 and was a resident and business owner in the United Kingdom. It was another year before he was seen to be walking the streets again, once again under his own name, in November 2012.

Quotes

This election will be our Party's greatest test yet, and like all our tests before I believe strongly we will succeed
(--Peregrine on the 20th September Local Elections.)
All we seek in USWP are people interested in the team element of eRep. We are looking for people who are willing to cooperate, because whatever your individual aspirations, they are much easier to accomplish with the support of a team...And if there are areas that we are not addressing, that you think we might, suggest them as policy proposals as well so that we as a party can be informed by your ideas. And join the discussion on those policies we do enact if you feel they are somehow wrong. It may be that they aren't changed, but everybody's input is valued.
(--Peregrine)
The USWP is here to be a guide to the new player and a platform to success for the advanced player. We are proud of our community, and happy to welcome anyone – at any level of experience – to our fold.
(--Peregrine)
We are a mature party that brooks no personal attacks. We offer activity and strive to make sure that in our Party walls there is no member left ignored and unsupported by the team. We believe that eRepublik is primarily a social game, and at our core we believe that social games are best played with friends. And so we are a party that promotes friendship and interaction between our members – regardless of their age or offline political beliefs.
