SamWystan was a citizen of the United States of America, the editor of The Shadow Government News Magazine.

He was born in Rhode Island as a late part of the V1 boom. He coined the phrase "Operation Taco Bell" which was used to describe the US Invasion of Mexico.

During the March 2009 congressional campaigns, he tied for second in his bid for Rhode Island Senator as a candidate from America's Advancement Party. He fought in Germany-Austria during the War of Austrian Secession.

Following his unsuccessful bid for Rhode Island, SamWystan spearheaded the campaign to recreate the Department of Fun by the act of Congress. A bill was put into processing by Ananias and when the bill stalled, Ananias suggested that President scrabman appoint Wystan as Secretary of the Department of Fun.

Wystan was a Lieutenant in the 3rd Division of the US National Guard during his original days. He resigned from that position following a hiatus.

In November of 2010, Wystan came out of retirement to continue writing The Shadow Government.

He rejoined the US Armed Forces entering the Training Corps and then joining the Mobile Infantry, the successor unit to the USNG's 3rd Division. Recruited by CRoy to join the Libertarian Writers' Guild, Wystan joined the Libertarian Party. Following CRoy's loss to Josh Frost in the December elections, Wystan joined the Counter-Revolution against the Frost Regime.

By the end of this period of American history, Wystan had been hired to write for the White House, but was only utilized once.
