Military
He was a member of the VIII. Expeditionskorp of the Bundeswehr.
Politics
He served one term in Congress as a member of Open Mind Germany being representative for the Saarland region. He switched to Die Steinmetze party few days after the elections, with the approval of OMG party president Konrad Neumann. At the end of 2010, he served as Minister of Economy.
