Template talk:Chile Map

Another map

Well, I'd done, months ago, this map, but it includes all the missing archipelagos of the present image (as it seems, from Gobba's map..., I told him when he launched it, but never fixed it, :S), as well as a proper coloring for each region (following the pattern of the chilean flag, :P), and withouth forgetting about an horizontal placement, to not create excesive blank space, as it's happening already with the current map. Why I delayed it so much: I worked on the map until february 27, but I got some problems that I was thinking how to solve... when an 8.8 earthquake struck, and I wasn't able to do something else like thinking hard for a few weeks, followed by massive lack of time due to university, so I just had come back to work. What do you think about the map I did?, at this moment, it isn't completely done, but I'm working on it right now, ;)

I'm working on it right now, fixed the problem that I got last time, and well, probably I will have it done by tomorrow (here it's 22:27 hrs) if I keep working on it, :P
The regions and the whole map it's fine on your version, but it misses all the archipelagos, and minor islands, on the 2 southern regions, specifically on Zona Austral, where those just made up almost all the territory, ;)
But what do you think?, should we put mine on the template?, I was thinking also about adding the possibility to edit the links of the template, particularly to use it in some other pages (as the Congressional ones), :P -- Purohueso (talk if you want) 02:35, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Ok, I finished it, finally, :P, ok, I didn't do it surrounding each island, but my patience wasn't able to afford that, :rolleyes:, anyway, I left the biggest channels free of link, ;) (I'm talking about Zona Austral, with all the islands that Gobba's map doesn't have). Implementing it. There is the rollback option anyway, but besides the size of the template (around 20kb), everything is perfect. I even managed to make the links changeable, as I was planning to use it not just to link to each region page, but maybe as an index on Congress pages, and other things that may get related to the different chilean regions in the future, :P-- Purohueso (talk if you want) 20:26, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
