Template talk:Party
Work in progress
Mainly taken from Abedecian and Daniel Dimow sandbox talk pages and Daniel Parker user talk page.
September 2008
I don't like the wording "Politic" on the Party template. It just isn't a good word choice. Also, can you keep the abbreviation at the top of the page, right under the party name? It is buried at the bottom. --Q J Lincoln 17:02, 15 September 2008 (BST)
- What do you suggest instead of Politic? --Mini "Template boy" Bill wanna chat? 17:04, 15 September 2008 (BST)
- Politics? or have it under attributes--Q J Lincoln 17:34, 15 September 2008 (BST)
- Or no header at all maybe? --Mini "Template boy" Bill wanna chat? 17:52, 15 September 2008 (BST)

I would like to have a Vice President option in this template. Can someone do that for me, I wouldn't want to try and mess the entire thing up. --Sir Graystar 16:25, 21 September 2008 (BST)
- Done --Mini "Template boy" Bill wanna chat? 19:10, 21 September 2008 (BST)
I have noticed that the links to newspapers in the party box no longer work. --QJ Lincoln 20:29, 3 November 2008 (EET)
- Really? TFC's works just fine.~Laurana Psion~ (My Whiteboard) 20:44, 3 November 2008 (EET)

Suggestions
- Nobody uses British English. Make this in American and I'd call it a fine template.
- Remove links in orientation and ideology, unless someone plans to make pages for those. Seeing as no one has yet, I don't think that it'll happen.
- Congress Occupancy automatically calculates percentage of congress control, assuming that the country has 40 congressmen. In the US, we have 51 by default. Currently many more. Uruguay has 10 by default. I suggest that you add the option to input the number of congress seats in the country.
- Regular English, please.
--Emerick 15:30, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- Maybe if the world was American, I would.
- I will be doing that in due course
- I will add that in pronto, good spot.
- It is the English that came first, feel free to make an American translation, if think Americans can't handle it.

Implemented template (topics for bugs and improvements)
Congress occupation expression error...
...fixed. No more expression errors. Only problem is that if there is only like 1/40 on congress filed, it'll create the line like: 1/40/40 seats, x %. -- sampo555 | Talk 10:06, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
link to succeed and preceding parties
What I really miss in this template currently is that the succeeding and especially preceding parties don't get linked to a page. -- Daniel Parker 02:12, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
Vice president
Please change the code of the template so that it is able to contain and display more than one Vice Presidents separately. –Tomeczek 08:51, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
- Done. The link isn't created automatically on vice president field anymore. -- sampo555 | Talk 14:21, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
Thank you! –Tomeczek 08:15, 21 April 2011 (PDT)
Congress section
Editors should be allowed to manually input the total number of seats, because sometimes that number is not 40. Instead of just number editors should input "X/Y" and the percentage can then be correctly calculated. -- Destroyer S87 01:05, 12 May 2012 (CEST)
- I was just going to say it. Not every country has 40 seats in congress. It can be 10, 20, 30, or even more than 40. --Bogohulja 11:17, 23 August 2013 (PDT)
- If you input just a number; it will automatically create a number/total seats and % of Congress. Inputting anything else besides a number, will output that input. E.g. 4 out of 40 will output 4 out of 40; 17 seats will output 17 seats.--AndyCro Do you need assistance? Then ask me! ;)) 04:18, 21 November 2022 (PST)
I also thing PP shouldn't be autolinked to wiki page, because most of players don't have a wiki page. For those who have it, we can use [[]], and for those who don't, we can use [1]. --Bogohulja 01:40, 24 August 2013 (PDT)
- Autolink disabled. --AndyCro Do you need assistance? Then ask me! ;)) 04:18, 21 November 2022 (PST)
