Buying food

UK Tutorials - House timer counting down.png

The house is now active and you can see the countdown timer, and the energy boosts. I am also out of food, so I go to the market and check the different quality foods. As with Houses, food is split into levels, and again, these levels are referred to as Quality, or Q. Each Q1 food gives 2 energy, Q2 gives 4, Q3 6, Q4 8, Q5 10, Q6 12 and Q7 gives 20. Generally Q1, Q2 or Q3 will be the best value for money. In this case Q1 food is 0.2, Q2 is 0.36 and Q3 is 0.57. Therefore Q2 has the best value for money and I buy 100 food for 36 currency.

Residency

Next, to get the biggest advantage from your house you need a Residence. You can access this directly or via My Places > Residence.

As a result we now have a cumulative +4 energy bonus as long as we stay in this region, even more health (our maximum is now 380) and our house lasts 20% longer. This works out as being another 33 hours, or a day and a half. You do have to pay a one-off tax to be a resident (in this case 117.89 currency) but this is paid for by the extra house durability, which means I will earn another 388 currency from the extra work. All future houses will still be able to enjoy the benefit of an extended lifespan, but we won’t need to pay another tax to move them here: they will be automatically placed here.

Tip: You can pick any region to be your residence. However it is usually wise to be resident in a region that is not involved in any training wars. Check with a member of the government whether your region is a good one to be resident in.

Next I go to the military unit and fight as yesterday according to the daily orders. In the process I level up to Level 17, and also get the rank of Sergeant. That’s me done for the day!
