Unión Socialista Bolivariana (USB) was a political party in Icon-Venezuela.png Venezuela.

History

Unión Socialista Bolivariana was founded on March 16, 2014 as Unión Bolivariana (UB), referred to as "La Unión". The party was founded when JoseNRojas won the elections in party “Nueva Visión”, that at the time only had 2 members, and renamed the party into Unión Bolivariana soon after the win.

First party action was on 5th April 2014 when the party supported El.Enviado from Union Civica Nacional - UCN. El.Enviado ended on the second place, only 5 votes short of the victory.

In May 2014, party puts its founder JoseNRojas as the presidential candidate and he ends up third. The party at that time was outside of the top 5 biggest parties, counting on average 10 members. However, just short of Congress elections in May, party entered the top 5 largest Venezuelans parties and participated in elections, scoring 13 % of votes and getting 5 members elected in Congress.

For June presidential elections, the party again supports UCN's candidate, this time Nikita. Fenix, who will win with 77.56% of the votes. UB members were part of Nikita's cabinet in return. For next elections, party decided to support Gonzalez152 from PCeV. Next few months were quite difficult for the party, as a PTO was done. For August, it seemed that things are clearing out and UB obtains 31 votes in the congressional elections (14.55%), ending up in fourth place despite being the 5th largest party, and obtains 6 Congress seats.

The month of September represents a great step in the right direction for the party, as it exceeded 30 members. With the congressional elections of September 25, the Bolivarian Union ratifies its fourth place in the ranking, obtaining 30 votes (13.95%) and getting again 6 members elected to Congress.

On November 10, the General Assembly approves a new logo that was created by JLChirinos.

After a half year of silence on the presidential elections, in February of 2015, UB finally goes again for the presidency, and again the candidate was the party president JoseNRojas. The Union received the support of small parties of the left and centre, achieving second place with 52 votes. On April 2015, party supports Captain Beyler from a small Venezuelan party Liga Militar Venezolana who also ends up second. On May 2015, party supports Nuevas Generaciones candidate adrianojdd who wins the elections.

One month later, in June 2015, the party for the first time get its own members elected to the highest office. luisito.pardo, with an incredible support of 5 additional parties, won against an experience former 3 time President Jesus Rafael Rosas Olavide. Party continued to back up the right players, and Kevin Alvarez Diaz won in July 2015.

On August and September 2015, party surprisingly supported Jesus Rafael Rosas Olavide. On both occasions, he ended up second. In October 2015 elections, the party supported its own candidate, elTripleD who ended up third, as no other party supported him. JoseNRojas was a candidate again in October and November 2015, he recorded a bit better results than elTripleD, however still not good enough, ending up second. In December 2015 they tried again with elTripleD, but is seemed that second place was the maximum that they can do.

2016 started to show that party is slowly going down, with their candidates not managing to win any of the elections:

It is believed that the last thing party did was supporting Uzielg for December 2016 elections, who ended up second. Party was afterwards known as Partido Nacionalista.
