Employment Strategy

This policy was ratified by Parliament on 15th July 2008.

The Policy

Context

Currently there are far too many workers in the gifts and food industries which is causing unsustainable prices in these industries that may appear good in the short term but will inevitably lead to bad treatment of the workers in those industries and economic collapse in those sectors. We also currently have an under supply of weapons.

To improve this situation the government has adopted the following strategy.

Strategy

  1. 50% VAT is applied to the gifts industry and only reimbursed to those companies which stop hiring new workers, fire all workers with skill 3 or below and send the names of the workers affected to the DoW.
  2. The DoW will hire workers into the government run weapons industry (Royal Ordnance).3. Mayors will point new citizens towards the DoW and private weapons companies.
