Talk from Template talk:MenuV1/فارسی

How can we edit the templates page? I need it to be changed to قوانین since I have added the rules in Persian. Cheers!—Preceding unsigned comment added by Gorgepir (talkcontribs) 16:49, 1 February 2010

Done. Only some editors have the right to edit templates due to the possibility of vandalism. If you have some other templates that you need to update, contact me. --AndyCro Icon-Croatia.png Click here to talk with me baby! ;) 12:33, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

Template implementation

Dear Gorgepir, I am little bit busy today and tomorrow, so if I do not manage to implemente this templates, do not be alarmed - they will be implemented at the latest in Sunday. --AndyCro Icon-Croatia.png Click here to talk with me baby! ;) 16:58, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

Your translation team

Hi! It seems your team of translators has finally started to work. Would you please tell them about L and DL-templates and our category policy? I'd appreciate it. I can see you already left them a message, but this page was created after it so I though you just said "hi" to them or something like that. But if you instructed them to properly translate pages from the very beginning, it would make all of our lives easier. Thank you in advance! --Icon-Finland.png Kuhaa|sTalk to me! 14:31, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Thank you! :) And don't be sorry, I was going to contact you before they got their Wiki accounts but for some reason I didn't. Good luck with your translation project! --Icon-Finland.png Kuhaa|sTalk to me! 15:48, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Exceptions in Naming policy

Dear Gorgepir, I appreciate the hard work you've put into translating this Wiki into Farsi and helping us to maintain the good quality, but there's one thing I'd like to bring to your attention. Pages Import tax and Income tax are exceptions in Naming policy. For more information, please see this last section. Don't worry though, it's easy to fix. Otherwise you've done a splendid job organizing your translation group, keep the spirit high! Regards, --Icon-Finland.png Kuhaa|sTalk to me! 17:00, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

D'oh!! Sorry bout that. Should've read the policy page myself instead of making assumptions. Thanks for pointing that out. Gorgepir Flag of Iran talk to me - کاری باری؟ 17:50, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
Don't worry, everybody make mistakes, and we appreciate the thought. :) But the current list of pages that need working on can be found here in case you want to help. It's a big task. ;) Cheers! --Icon-Finland.png Kuhaa|sTalk to me! 21:29, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
I believe Mediterranean Alliance would be an exception because it could be considered a game entity. However it shouldn't matter much as the alliance is no longer active and we don't know how it was referred to in game. I'd say let's leave the redirect be but not change any links until we've came to a final conclusion regarding Naming policy (we're working on it but it's not finished just yet). Overall, what do you think about Naming policy? Are the exceptions too complicated or do you in general find it easy to understand? --Icon-Finland.png Kuhaa|sTalk to me! 09:16, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
I think the thing that confuses me a bit is to identify game entities. To me, almost everything is a game entity. For example, a user name that consists of two parts has the first part capitalized, while the second isnt, and I would consider the username to be a game entity. This alliances name for example example, I wasnt sure if the alliance was just stuck after it (like when one says the ATLANTIS alliance) or part of the name, so I thought it would be better to be consistent with the other alliances. If you could make it more clear what exactly you mean by game entity, that would help. By the way, you wouldnt be an admin around here, would you? (not Sysops, admin that can change stuff in eRepublik as well). Keep fighting the good fight! Gorgepir Flag of Iran talk to me - کاری باری؟ 09:34, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
Citizens, parties, companies and newspapers obviously are game entities because they are official part of game and have Wiki links on their profiles. That's why they need to be named exactly as they are in game - to make the Wiki link work. But military groups and alliances are a more complicated to name here because they're created by players and therefore there are no "official" references to them. There's been discussion about naming alliances before, but it has been about whether or not to use abbreviation or something like that. I believe in Mediterranean Alliance the "Alliance" is part of it's name, but if we come to a conclusion it should be capitalized, we'll fix it so don't worry. We'll try to improve the policy to make it more clear - perhaps we should make separate guidelines for military alliances to prevent any misunderstandings. But as I said, we are still in the process of making this policy so it's not finished yet. And I'm not Admin or even game moderator or community officer or whatever they call those. I'm just a mere player who was granted additional rights to edit Wiki by other Sysops. --Icon-Finland.png Kuhaa|sTalk to me! 10:31, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Page moved

User:Gorgepir/congressFeb has been moved. If you need the wiki space to do congressional things, please do it in the user space as it is not relevant to the rest of the community. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 18:22, 29 March 2010 (UTC)

Iranian Wiki Project

Hi! I noticed that you have a wiki project going on. You are more thank welcome to create a wikiproject page and User badge. See Category:WikiProjects. Each wikiproject has a page where people organize info and they have a template "user badge" that people put on their user pages to be placed in the category "WikiProject members". If you need assistance, ask one of the established wiki project teams. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 15:13, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
