Errrr...Sorry, done what? Still no sign of Hebrew, or I`m just plain noob?:)--GideonIL 17:49, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
I've added it to the list of new languages. Now, to create a translation of an existing page, just edit it iwth the suffix /עברית. For example: Market/עברית --Mini "Template" Bill Italian in the deep core bother me! 18:21, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Well, I`ll try:) After all, there are Uber`s to clean up the mess if I fail:)--GideonIL 21:07, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
I`m stuck a bit...In Hebrew we are writing right to left, so every time I try to place period or insert some English word or character it jumps to the right side and creates such a mess. people worked it around at Hebrew Wiki can we implement it here somehow?--GideonIL 06:23, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
Ask them how they did it --Mini "Template" Bill Italian in the deep core bother me! 16:20, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

LangMenu problems

We have moved Citizen Page Tutorial to eRepublik Official Wiki:Citizen_Page_Tutorial/English and now the LangMenu does not work. Thanks in advance for the help! --Admin 15:36, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Sheees. That'll require a lot of work to be fixed, because it implies adding namespace support to the Template:LangMenu/Lang --Mini "Template" Bill Italian in the deep core bother me! 16:19, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
...or using FULLPAGENAME instead of BASEPAGENAME - [1] --Admin 17:37, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
That won't work. I'd need something such as {{namespace}}{{#if: {{namespace}}|:}}{{basepagename}} or similar --Mini "Template" Bill Italian in the deep core bother me! 20:51, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
See the solution here: eRepublik Official Wiki:Uber_Editors. --Admin 09:01, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
That's temporary. The problem needs a better solution, but I'd wait for the wiki to stabilize --Mini "Template" Bill Italian in the deep core bother me! 14:27, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Ukrainian

Hi Bill - whenever you get the chance, could you add support for Ukrainian (Українська)? Thanks in advance--much appreciated!. --Irov Ukraine Talk to me! 14:14, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Help! Citizen Page Tutorials and Language Menus

MiniBill, I have really messed some things up. In an attempt to update the citizen page tutorial (English version) I have done something to the navigation of the Italian, Indonesian, Croatian, Russian, Brazilian, and French Tutorials. The navigation no longer works. Also, the language menu doesn't work on these pages. Can you fix what I have done? I have messed with things too long and my head hurts! The tutorial got over complicated. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 20:46, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

I have no time for today. I'll have some tomorrow, I hope. As the end of the (school) year is approaching I'm under more & more pressure!!! (fast tip: it could be a namespace problem) --Mini "Template" Bill Icon-Italy.png bother me! 16:41, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Changing the name of a language in the language menu

I got a PM from a user, to change the word for "Finnish" on the language menu. This is an excerpt
"Anyway, my point is that "suomalainen" should be changed to suomi (means the language) or suomenkielinen (öhöm... like "Finnish language"). Suomenkielinen is the best comparison to "Finnish" - when you mean the language. "Suomenkielinen" has been conjugated from "suomen kieli". Though "suomenkielinen" is the most corresponding word I'd still use "suomi" above all of them because it's simpler than the other words. Plus you don't have to conjugate it to make it sound right."
He has a point, I even looked it up. Finnish is called "Suomi" by native speakers. So we need to:

  1. Change the language menu to reflect this change
  2. Move the 5 pages or so translated into Suomi.

If it is as easy as just moving LangMenu/Suomalainen to LangMenu/Suomi, I can do it. If it is more complicated, let me know. Thanks! --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 20:21, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Move pages and update {{LangMenu/List}} (the second action will kill the JQ) --Mini "Template" Bill Icon-Italy.png bother me! 21:12, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

{{LangMenu}} in other namespaces (When you have a minute)

Currently, {{LangMenu}} does not work on any namespaces outside of the main namespace. This is because it used {{BASEPAGENAME}} for the basis of the link, which excludes the namespace from the link the template creates.

I'm looking to change the {{BASEPAGENAME}} to {{SUBJECTPAGENAME}} to fix this. Will I screw anything up by doing so? The template is a bit too complex to move to my sandbox, and obviously I don't want to kill the job queue either. - –Dr. AgentChieftain Flag of the Crescent and Star PPP!
