Template:Partyalliance - a forgotten by Dio template is now up to date with new look

Hello again, it's me - Daniel Dimow :) As all the template projects that I implemented, this needs a check too.

  • QJ - I expect you to fix the categories :)

And if some issues are found, please report. --DanielDimow||Speak to me. 09:25, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

I actually don't see a point in this template. Party alliances are arbitrary and bound by nothing. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 20:51, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
Bound by nothing, except roleplaying issues and "copypasted" RL politics, :P..., even if I might feel sick of doing so, I will have to defend Alianza por eChile status as a truly partyalliance, that isn't arbitrary, and surely changed for months the politics on Chile, and which consecuences are still felt today (and maybe even where felt worldwide..., long story, but it ends with banhammer).
As I already stated, I will have to disagree on your point, ;)..., and surely there are more examples than this one, but since this is the only one that has a wikipage, I can't show them..., well, maybe one, but I haven't done its page still, :P
Maybe we should define what really is a party alliance, and surely just some support on an specific month doesn't count as one, but if it extends for a long time, lets say, half a year, and has enough theme on itself (organization, newspaper, logo, forum, or any other), it may be considerated. The most important thing would be that it's selfdeclared as a party alliance, ;)..., and where to put the definition, I would suggest to create a page for it, or maybe a "Category: Party alliances" with the criteria written at the top of it. Also, unless we got enough pages to start fragmenting it by country, I would suggest that previous category for any party alliance, added just be using the aforemented template.
--Icon-Chile.png Purohueso (talk if you want) 02:48, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Two ideas: the template does not mention that it is not a game "feature/concept" + how many "party alliances" do we have documented in the Wiki? --Belea2008 07:55, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
One so far, but in fact there are many in the New World, just that they aren't documented. For example when the CP elections come, in Bulgaria for example, 2-3 parties pick a president together,

which is also considered as such(party alliance), but I'm sure no one knows about the template, otherwise they would have created one :P
And I appreciate the first idea of yours, I'll see what I can do --DanielDimow||Speak to me. 09:09, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Translating common templates

Just to ask..., how I should translate them now?, actually, with the actualization of all common templates, there isn't any translation, as I know, for them, and really, I have no idea how it should be done. If possible, the idea would be to keep the call {{[name of template]|...}}, and it gets translated, if existing, due to the presence of LangMenu. Someone could give me some guidelines about it, so I can start doing at least the spanish translations?--Icon-Chile.png Purohueso (talk if you want) 20:02, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

I can't tell you. Many of the common templates are in flux now - new designs added. Also The new scheme might make it more difficult for translation. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 15:20, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
Considerating that now each template has a lot of subpages with parts of it, to translate each one of those isn't a good idea..., maybe the solution would be just to put all of it on a "Template:[name]/[language]", and use it from the translated pages, and adding a few instructions on how to translate the template, has it would show the whole code. I don't know if there is a more easy solution than that..., I will give it a try with a template and translate it to spanish on a sandbox, let's see how it works, :P --Icon-Chile.png Purohueso (talk if you want) 18:46, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
Another idea (on hold) is to implement language Wikis.... Just saying.... :( --Belea2008 07:56, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Where would the in-game links go if there are more than 1 wiki? --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 17:35, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
To English wiki, or make it dependant on selected language (in eRepublik). --Icon-Poland.png Grzechooo drop a line 14:59, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

I am not sure if I have understood you correctly but I'll give it a try.

The main template calls Template/Lang, which calls Template/Core:

  1. The /Lang consist the whole template core translated and it passes the info into core template (like {{MenuRising}}).
  2. The /Lang consist the translated strings and passes them into /Core with the original template parameters (like {{ICitizen}}).

These are the two (actually the one and same) ways of translating templates. --Icon-Finland.png sampo555 | Talk 18:00, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

BTW. Technically saying, translating doesn't require /Core, but that's recommended way to do it. --Icon-Poland.png Grzechooo drop a line 14:59, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Medal Template

Hi here, just for say that I made a template for medals, I'm open to suggestion, improvement, correction, etc,... : User:Azaret/Project#Medals_Template ~~ Azaret Icon-Paraguay.png déjame un mensaje (:

I have a small problem with this template, actually. Its good - but, unfortunately, there are 4 new medals inbound shortly :( --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 14:12, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
Where is the problem ? :D just edit the template when these medals will arrive. ~~ Azaret Icon-Paraguay.png déjame un mensaje (: 14:17, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
I don't like the idea of listing all of the medals and having "0" next to so many. Very few people become presidents, etc... Most people achieve 3 medals - hard worker, super soldier, and either congress or battle hero. There will eventually be more than 10 medals. That means 7-10 empty spots for most people. I think it is best to list your ACCOMPLISHMENTS not what you haven't done. We already have medals... Category:Medals --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 01:20, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Well, I would say that even you don't have these medals, you see it on the game. All parameters are optional on the template so for empty one, well, just don't write them ;). We can debate this, I could make something for force hide medals which we haven't. ~~ Azaret Icon-Paraguay.png déjame un mensaje (: 08:01, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Remember, this is modeled after Wikipedia. Does a page for Clinton mention that he was never mayor of San Francisco? Does Gaulle's page say that he never had a hit single? No... Citizen pages should reflect what a person has done... not what they haven't done or might do. Because all citizen pages are linked to the profiles in the game, we don't have to recreate exactly what is there. The citizen page should add detail and context to a player and his or her accomplishments in the game. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 19:24, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
No comment. I'm (kind of) not in favor of any templates which duplicate in game stuff.... And what QJ said. :D --Belea2008 07:59, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
So, I hide medals we don't have ? can we have a kind of vote ? if someone have something to add ~~ Azaret Icon-Paraguay.png déjame un mensaje (: 13:12, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Ok I have hide medals by default, we can set 'show unawarded' for force to show which medals we don't have, because some people want to show medals they haven't. By the way about the other template of medal, you can see here how it works well. ~~ Azaret Icon-Paraguay.png déjame un mensaje (: 15:46, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

CSS 3

Me again :D, I'm sadly saw that, even there is some amazing CSS 3 rules like for rounded box, all can't see it, actually only Firefox users can see it. Api pages

Hi guys, As some of you already know, I read the new pages on the API for the update to Rising. Rising Menu

Hi guys, I translated some pages yesterday and I've noticed that some pages are pretty useless like the fight one, or the Health kit for battlefield one. I guess that there is certainly other like that, so I propose to delete them (that means edit all language menu for Fight, and delete his translations). For these two pages in particular, their theme may be approached on the Battlefield page. Probably, but we love to hear it again anyway! :) Oh - and when I say its "far from finished" - what I meant is - a lot of the work is done (sorry, I just realised I probably implied that everyone has been bludging, when they havent!), but theres still lots more to finish up :) --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 01:49, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
Just as a sidenote, the Health kit (battlefield) page has very confusing information in it. The text says that: "...automatically on the battlefield when you lose a fight. It restores your health back to 40 points." But there is a picture about the health kit what costs 0.5G and must be purchased by hands. And in beta that feature was called as a full revival, not a health kit. --Icon-Finland.png sampo555 | Talk 05:33, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
There is a page called Health Kit (Battlefield) for this reason, Sampo555! - That is the one that restores health to 40. Agreed, its confusing, but there ARE two pages set up for that very reason! --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 06:27, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
I think it's not necessary to have a page just for this, just a title on the Battlefield page ~~ Azaret Icon-Paraguay.png déjame un mensaje (: 08:24, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Navigation template update

I see that the navigation templates have been changed. If there is discussion somewhere, I would like to see it. If not, I suggest that we undo that change as this makes many pages ugly (there is a huge block from left to right with few links inside) and messes with layout (eg. War). --Icon-Finland.png sampo555 | Talk 13:14, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Sorry my fault, I went too far - undo'd - Well I would say that, when you see Lang Menu on pages, or Rising menu on the main page, well, to don't have a unified standard design, it's kinda ugly too. So to have a standard design could be nice, or at least could show a little of serious here. The float issue could be fixed, and by the way, use the Wiki float way is wrong too; it makes mess on pages, it's ugly, you have Edit box everywhere (eg. Food). ~~ Azaret Icon-Paraguay.png déjame un mensaje (: 16:30, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Honestly, I liked the new styling made by Azaret... All though my IE is not a very good way to determine is the new style nice... Maybe we could vote about it? --AndyCro Icon-Croatia.png Click here to talk with me baby! ;) 17:25, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

I also agree that the navigation boxes needs a new design, but it should be a smaller box. Here is a comparison:
  • Template with LangMenu style & colors:
Menu Rising
My places · Market · Info · Community · Rules · History
  • Azarets version:

Menu Rising

See the difference? --Icon-Finland.png sampo555 | Talk 08:10, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

I like the small version, if we put it in the upper right of pages. I like the big version, if we put it at the bottom of pages. --Belea2008 08:12, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
I like both of them :P - Well, we can keep the eBox for message, and use the LangMenu style for menu. ~~ Azaret Icon-Paraguay.png déjame un mensaje (: 10:46, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Earnt?

I am starting to see the word "earnt" in quite a few user pages. I think this is from a template used for president pages Myyst. I cannot find earnt in any dictionary. (I checked 7 online) Is this some alternate English that I have never heard? The correct word is "earned" Myyst earned 5 congress medals. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 19:48, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Really, that oftens happens..., you mess up that common "irregular rule" (add -t on past conjugation) with a not so common verb (earn), and you get that, :P..., I think I have done it more times that I can count, but with adding an -h to "without", "throught", etc..., it's my idea or I just added and extra -t to the last one?, (paf)--Icon-Chile.png Purohueso (talk if you want) 20:51, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

I removed it because some of the information in that flowchart is not correct. I have nothing against adding it back and adding a big red text on in or above it that some information may be out of date. That flowchart is pretty cool regarding military strategies and processes! --Belea2008 07:18, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

I think I found the problem: {{#if: {{{country|}}}|[[Category:Historical Party Alliances of {{{country}}}]] |}} , so, as soon as you specify a country, it throws it to the Historical category.
I would fix it right now (eh, I think I will fix it now, and later we re-edit regarding what I'm about to say), but first I would like to suggest something else: (continues below)--Icon-Chile.png Purohueso (talk if you want) 21:47, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

...there are, at the moment, just 3 party alliances pages done (I just remembered from a fourth that uses the party template...), and probably there won't be so much, at least for a time, so..., what if we just put all of them in 2 categories: Category:Party Alliances and Category:Historical Party Alliances. That is, not specify by country, as there are to few, without forgotting about the amount of inter-national ones (on Latinamerica, there are 2 actives, as I know, and I think there was at least 1 historical). Also, as for national ones, maybe we should just put those pages, as well, on [[Category:Politics of Country]] while there aren't enough pages (I would suggest a minimum of 3 or 4 to create the category, and do a little code on the template to start distributing them once they start to appear).--Icon-Chile.png Purohueso (talk if you want) 21:47, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

company questions

Hi! I have a job in a company that is now in a foreign country we're at war with (I'm still located in the original country). From the wiki, and from my memories, it is not clear for me what should happen in this case. When I go to the work page, it says I can't work because the company has not enough money to pay salary. This sounds as if otherwise I could work there, even though it is under foreign rule. Can someone clarify on this? Thanks Amrod Falassion 07:19, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Sure. You are technically able to work there (unless you resign). The problem, is that the company needs some of the "local currency" in order to pay its workers. For instance, I own a Rifle company in Western Australia. I used to employ myself (before V2 started) - when Indonesia took over Western Australia, If I was to stay employed by this company, I would need IDR in order to continue working there, as the AUD (Australian Currency) is not being used anymore. However, I have since resigned, and can no longer work for this company, as it is in a different country. --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 13:07, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. Should we include some info on this in the article? Amrod Falassion 18:38, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
I believe it was included in the original article (back in the "olden" days of V1) - yes, it should be if its not there, though. (Rising pages are still not 100% completed yet!) --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 00:25, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Wiki Projects

I have seen that many people have created wiki projects to build up pages about specific countries. This is great. I have one question though: What is the point of designating pages, for example Category:WikiProject Canada pages. What purpose does this category serve. If this is a Wiki project for Canada, it is logical to assume that all pages and sub categories in Category:Canada are included in WikiProject Canada? It seems that it is miss directed energy recategorizing pages when that time could be used in making/editing content. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 14:39, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Day 995 Changes

  1. Food is now consumable, not automatically increased at the start of the day. You can increase 300 health units by consuming food.
  2. The redeploy rule is going to be removed.
  3. Health lost in battle will be changed to 70 health, instead of 40. (What happens with the automated update at the end of the day?)
  4. House Customization points for health is increased x5. --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 10:25, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

I'm adding to your list that the turn time will be reduced to 2 minutes. ---- Military updates and daily food consumption information update 3 --Belea2008 15:17, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
Included the 2minutes timer info on the [Battlefield] article (the older timer info was not there previously somewhy...) Though we should clarify how the "processing turn" time counts - it seems to me it's counted into the 2 minutes, as sometimes I see the countdown start from eg. 1:40. But then I also saw 2:14 once so how is this? (again, nothing in the insider, really how are we supposed to write a wiki without infos?) Btw am I the only one who doesn't see the Eat button? Daily Food Consumption - User Manual

The only limitation which will be used will be 300 max health/day from food.

"Eat Food" button:

  • LOCATION: In the sidebar, below the health and the happiness attributes
  • By clicking it, the following will happen:
    • the citizen will consume automatically the first food from inventory (the food will be removed from the citizen's inventory)
    • the health of the food is added to the health of the citizen
    • the happines of the food is added to the happiness of the citizen
    • the sidebar and the citizen's own profile will be updated instantly
    • the REMAINING amount of health WHICH CAN BE EATEN will be displayed in the tooltip button
  • TOOLTIP:
    • in Sidebar - 1 second delay
    • TEXT: "If your health and/or happiness are below 100, you can eat the first food from your inventory in order to recover them. You can buy food from the marketplace. You can recover up to 300 health per day. Health left to recover today: X" (where X = the REMAINING amount of health WHICH CAN BE EATEN by the citizen in that day)
  • (daily health limit close) ALERT ON BUTTON: When the citizen has 50 (or below) REMAINING amount of health WHICH CAN BE EATEN - a visual exclamation mark will be displayed on the button.
  • "GET FOOD" BUTTON - NOT AVAILABLE - CASES:
    • if a citizen has received 300 health units in that day, the button will become a disabled "Eat Food" button
    • if a citizen has 100 health and 100 happiness, the button will become a disabled "Eat Food" button (IF ONE of the two attributes IS BELOW 100, the BUTTON is AVAILABLE)
    • if a citizen has not reached the 300 health units limit and HAS NO FOOD in inventory - the button will transform in a "Buy Food" button (linked to Marketplace - with the food filter and the country of the citizen selected)
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF...? - CASES:
    • ... a citizen has, for example, only 5/300 health left from the limit and the first food from the inventory has 7 health? ---- only 5 health and the happiness are added to the citizen (the rest is lost)
    • ... a citizen has 95 health and the first food from the inventory has 7 health? --- the same (the rest is lost)
    • ... a citizen has 100 happiness and <100 health and the first food in the inventory has only happiness on it (and no health)? --- the same (the happiness on the food is lost)
This has been added here. (New Page Created). --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 14:30, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

House changes - A General Manager can invest up to 100 customization points in the ROOF of a house. Those customization points add health using the following balancing: 1 CP = +0.1/day. The new balancing: 1 CP = +0.5/day.

Automatic health changes (at the beginning of the day):

  • The food consumption will be removed from the calculation
  • If a citizen has more than one house in inventory, the attributes of the first house will be used.
  • The "70 health check" will be removed.

(automatic) Health/happiness gain/loss:

H = the amount of health/happiness given by the house. If a citizen has no house in inventory, then H=0

Each citizen will lose/gain X health/happiness points (at the beginning of each day).

The resulted value can't be less than 0 or above 100. Here is how X is calculated:

   * If the citizen has <=10 health: X = H-1
   * If the citizen has 10<health<=50: X = H-2
   * If the citizen has 50<health<=80: X = H-3
   * If the citizen has 80<health<=100: X = H-4

The ALERT that you have no food in your inventory will be removed.

The "70 health check" (the verification and the pop up) will be removed from the login.

TUTORIAL change - The following text "Food is consumed automatically once a day. Hey, you still don’t have a recognizable face? Let’s fix that, shall we?" will be changed to "You can rearrange your inventory and decide what food you'll eat a bit later. Hey, you still don’t have a recognizable face? Let’s fix that, shall we?"

defense systems?

I'd like some help in understanding defense systems. The article says: "The durability decreases each time one or more players are within its Area of Effect (AoE), not per turn. If one or more players (not including enemy soldiers) are within the AoE the durability decreases by 1 per turn. If no players are within the AoE of the Defense system, the durability remains the same. " To me, this means, that if there are soldiers around the DS, its durability will decrease by 1 every turn. Now, I've checked it in battle (South Great Plain, aug 11-12): at around 9pm (CEST) the DS durability said it has about 865 turns left. If a turn is 2:00 minutes (the insider said sg about decreasing it, but right now the turn counter still starts from 2:00, well I've even seen 2:14 - also don't know how the turn processing periods count into it), then it should've lasted for more than another 28 hours. But I've heard it was down to 200 by midnight, and disappeared when I checked at 9am next day. So what is changed? I didn't find changes on DS in Insider. thanks Amrod Falassion 07:05, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Changed the text of the article to the following: "The durability decreases each time one or more players are within its Area of Effect (AoE), not per turn. If one or more players (of the side who owns the defense system) are within the AoE, the durability decreases by 1 per defending player per turn. (Defending players are those who were attacked that turn and were positioned within the AoE.) If no players are within the AoE of the Defense system or no such players were attacked, the durability remains the same." Hope I got it right now... Pls check. Thanks. Add to Wiki please

These two texts will be implemented in the Military Help page. Please also add them to the corresponding Wiki pages.

HOSPITALS

The first information that you need to know is that the hospital gives you back your health that you had when you last deployed.

Let's take an example for a better understanding: Let's say that you've deployed on the battlefield with 80 health, you lost this battle and your health gets down to 40. If you choose to redeploy without healing, when you go to the hospital you will realize that it will not heal you. Right now you have 40 health and this is considered to be your last deployment. The other actions that you've done on your first deployment are erased.

The second information that you need to know is that you need to heal on the battlefield where you lost the health. The hospitals from other battlefields will not heal you.

Last but not least, if you entered a battle with 70 health, for example, and you won the fight, the hospital will heal you back to 70 not 100. This implies that the hospital will not give you more health than you had when you deployed.

Another thing to know is that if you lose a battle, before you be undeployed, your citizen will still receive wellnessHEALTH from the hospital, but for that you'll need to be placed inside the area of effect.

FREE HEALTH KIT

Every citizen will receive 3 health packs free every 24 hours, not per day. The free health pack can be used only when your citizen loses a battle and when your citizen is deployed on a tile . The chronometer for those 24 hours starts when the first health pack is consumed.

For example if a citizen uses only one health kit in the day x99 then he'll remain with two health packs to use, for the second day (day x90) until the chronometer expires and then he'll have again 3 health packs.

If there is no struggle if I lose 5 health and gain 5 skill points and 2 rank points. I should gain 2 skill points. Error or Update? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Marnes (talkcontribs)

Marnes - please sign your name after the comments. This page gets updated regularly, and it gets very confusing as to who said what otherwise. As for the page itself - I'm not 100% sure. I would have thought it was an error, as we haven't heard any different in an EI article, though. --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 11:32, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

If anyone feels particularly energetic

There are a LOT of citizen pages that are out of date with the v2 implementation. There's what, 3,000 citizen pages? A lot of them have references to strength, Construction and Manufacturing. If anyone wants to set themselves a challenge - that's a good one to fix up :D --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 14:45, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

seems to me there are more important challenges... Main articles are still not completed. Though some probably because of lack of info. My question on defense systems is still unanswered, for example... Though maybe we should just give up wikiing for a few months or so until they stop fixing bugs and changing features. Amrod Falassion 15:57, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
I thought you addressed that problem in the section directly above it. That's what I didn't answer it. The changes from the EI article were not updated at the time of that battle. (Indeed that battle itself was there largely due to a bug in the first place!). Um... it should be that the Durability decreases by one every time it is used. So if 5 friendly soldiers are engaged in a battle, and are in the AOE of a hospital, it will decrease durability for that turn by 5. It only heals soldiers if they are involved in a fight though (I, also, was in that battle, and I waited around the hospital for quite some time! :D) --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 23:59, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
well, what you say seemed logical, but I didn't find it in any insider nor the wiki... so wanted to hear from someone else... I won't change any article based on info I'm making up. You sure on this now? Thanks. Amrod Falassion 06:22, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
I know this based on first-hand knowledge. As I said - I was in that Romanian battle as well. I wanted to see how it worked (it was the first battle I was in where my side had a hospital!!) - and so I was testing things out when I was fighting! :D And - no problem. We're all here to help each other, after all :) --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 07:21, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
Btw, I was talking about defense systems, not hospitals! I already knew how hospitals worked, that was covered in the articles.

I can only now assume that DS works similar, in spite of the article. So now the article should say "If one or more players (not including enemy soldiers) are within the AoE the durability decreases by 1 per turn per soldier". Right? Amrod Falassion 09:52, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

Priorities should be this... 1. Game Features 2. Stubs/Lonely/Translation/Formatting/Current Event pages. Citizen pages aren't really a priority at this point. Lets face it, people really write these for themselves. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 16:19, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

outnumber rules

I've included the following part in the Fight article: "It can happen that more than one units from your side choose to attack the same enemy. In this case, only one unit can attack the given enemy, chosen randomly. This is called outnumbering the enemy. If not your unit is chosen, then your unit will not fight, but will move into the target tile after the fight if no enemy is left. Also, you receive +5 skill points, +2 rank points and -5 health for participating. "

However I'm not sure about the rule on how the attacker is chosen. From earlier articles I remember that the one who clicked fastest (earliest) was chosen. Now the insider says:

"When multiple attackers target a tile upon which only one citizen is deployed, the attacker is chosen randomly." However this doesn't say if it is the same if there are more than one units on the same tile. (And no mention of the time rule... can't find it anymore).

Also, I'm not sure, if the chosen unit can't defeat the selected enemy, will another attacker be selected from the list?
Somebody knows these? Thanks Amrod Falassion 11:21, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

If a person get's attacked by many enemies the defender will keep on fighting until he/she dies or there is no more enemies left to defeat. --Icon-Finland.png sampo555 | Talk 17:03, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. And do you know the way of choosing the attacker? (Random or first to click). Amrod Falassion 18:14, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Randomly chosen. Its in the Rising:Battlefield FAQ page (And was also mentioned in the EI article. Since it was kind enough to mention said page, I referenced it for that particular FAQ question! --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 21:31, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
I saw that article, but it says "If more players attack the same tile which has only 1 enemy, how is it decided which one is the attacker? " That's a special case, what if there are more enemy units there? I guess it's the same rule, why not, but then we should then re-word it. (And I do remember of a different rule, but why was it changed? Not read about it..) Amrod Falassion 19:53, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
I now understand the question. Yes, they take it in "turns". If the first randomly selected person loses versus the defender, then it goes onto the second person, etc. --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 06:40, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Formula

We know formula on gain skill points after fight?

I check and formula on gain skill points is different than formula on gain rank points

--Marnes 12:54, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

Who removed my comment? :P Anyways - it seems to differ every time I fight (I have now actually been able to fight quite a few times now :D) Have received anything from 5 to 20 skill points for winning a PvP battle. --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 06:43, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Enjoying the break?

I thought I'd let you all have a chance to actually be able to see your edits in the "Recent Changes" page for a change. I have an RL assignment that I have been working on the past few days. Will be back at the end of the week. Til then - you can the Wiki safe from my Version 1 Links spamming ;) --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 15:43, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

National monuments - files

Please rename them and add them to this page: https://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/National_monuments

Regarding the renaming, I used the following format for past national monuments:

File:January 4, 2010 - Monument 1.png|New Year's Obelisque
File:January 4, 2010 - Monument 2.png|New Year's Statue
File:January 4, 2010 - Monument 3.png|New Year's Arc de Triomphe

Regarding categories, all the past national monuments have this category: https://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/Category:National_Monuments

Thanks in advance for the help. --Belea2008 13:18, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Rising page translations

I would like to know what is the point of making hundreds of foreign language pages (589 to be precise) with only {{LangMenu}} and Template:RisingMigration. It's very likely that some of those pages will never be made. It would've been better if those hadn't been made. The translators can create them when/if they want to do it. Now we have many pages with no information on it. --Icon-Finland.png sampo555 | Talk 14:09, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Well, these pages were already made in Version 1, else the links to them via that template would not work. Now there is a proper list of pages that were made before the crossover, for people to work off of? That, and it cuts down nearly 600 pages from the "wanted pages" list --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 05:32, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
RisingMigration template, and empty pages that have it, were removed on 14/02/2019 when the count was down to less than 50 pages that were never translated. --AndyCro Icon-Croatia.png Do you need assistance? Then ask me! ;)) 18:28, 13 February 2019 (PST)

Controversial edit?

I have nothing against adding such details to a citizen page, as long as:

  • it is simple to understand that such a "feature" does not exist in game and the "treason" was declared by the government;
  • it keeps a neutral and encyclopedic tone;
  • both sides present their "story" - as in, I have nothing against adding to the Belea2008 page that I'm a traitor of South Africa (hypothetical scenario); but I would like to have my chance to tell my side of the story and my point of view to be introduced also.

--Belea2008 08:11, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

If you are a traitor to South Africa, then I'm the King of Erepublik. Just saying :D --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 04:17, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

More Changes

From the latest Q+A article:

  1. Happiness is still lost, even if you have a house.
  2. Turn Time on the battlefield - is now 90 seconds, not 2 minutes

--Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 04:59, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

I really begin to think the wiki should be closed down for several months and only reopen when there were no significant changes for at least two months... Amrod Falassion 07:01, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Or maybe admin could stop changing the game. lol --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin|Say G'Day 08:00, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
