Leave notice

due to the recent show of competence (or lack thereof) by eRebuglik faildministration during the update, and the fact that I'm simply tired of all the things happening, I'm leaving the Wiki until further notice. Why?
The sheer incompetence of people behind eRepublik Wiki is astonishing:

  • there was no notice of the update happening
  • the lack of preparation to the update caused a lot of shit to break
    • the eRepublik: namespace was obliterated (it exists now as what you see, eRepublik_Official_Wiki)
    • skins were broken
    • extensions were broken
  • the fact that the Wiki is abandoned by admins, left for it to rot

Therefore I no longer can, nor want to deal with the day to day "administration", which most of the time consists of fixing all of the shit that's broken that can be fixed.
I hope that Gucio along with Yamisuke and Andycro will be able to talk some sense to the administration. Until then, I'm out of here.

EDIT: I'll still be hanging around #wiki, to see whether the things change or not.

Review of last month

Dear editors, last month had a lot of things occur, with major one was update of the whole wiki, which surprised as everyone as this was an unscheduled thing. Due to it, some of the things were broken, some of things changed. Please try to be patient with correction of broken things as they will be corrected in next few days. As from my TO DO list for last month tasks:

  • Finish checking Category:Playing the Game,
    • 90 % done, last 10 % require detail update / archiving so it will be done during May
  • Review of rising articles and V1 articles
    • Still in progress of archiving, I will do this in upcoming months, not sure when as I plan to reconstruct templates used in historical articles.
  • Review all the policies,
    • Done, voting for changes will be done in May, more info in next few days.
  • try to review templates (ad least to get to some 50 % review)
    • 50 % reached, organizing in progress, the end result will be couple of main categories for editors to find out what they need much faster (I hope)
  • To start my biggest project (files) which will probably deserve a new place in my user sandbox.

I will add some things in next few days, I really hope that wiki will again be a fun place to be. --AndyCro Icon-Croatia.png Do you need assistance? Then ask me! ;)) 12:35, 1 May 2014 (UTC)

Any way we could have these two?

The needed extension to install those gadgets has been requested.

Featured articles

Check this out: Wikipedia:Featured_articles. I'd like to try to have this on this wiki too, since we really don't have a lot of good articles, so this would be a way to motivate editors to make a good article and also to use the best articles as an example when writing their own articles. It's no big deal, a template that adds a star in the top right corner of the article and puts the article in Category:Featured articles. --Icon-Montenegro.png Bogi | Talk 13:00, 3 May 2014 (UTC)

Don't we have something like that already?

{{Region}} name field

Dear editors,
please restrain yourself from editing name field in {{Region}} by entering any other content different than the region name; we'll introduce an alternative name field under the main one to show local language name eventually.

Thank you for understanding.

Hi! I'm Kojie, spanish wikifriend. I want to do a contest in the eRepublik's Wiki consisting in editing Spanish histories' pages. Then, I want a permission to use Category:Wikiolimpiadas to add the pages involved in the contest. After the conquest, the discussions pages will show a template certifyng the participation into the contest. Would you approve the idea? Kojie // Write me (Escribeme) 00:22, 22 May 2014 (UTC)

Dear Spanish wikifriend :) If you are referring to use this category on user pages as a part of a project (like Wikiproject members) I don't see the reason why not. But if you are planning to add this category on article pages, then I am against it, as there are already enough categories on pages that need to be done (Category:Stub, Category:Articles with warning, etc...). I have also created a list of all that pages in my sandbox, so feel free to add the list on your page if you plan to update some of the pages. Also, there is a list of the pages that should be created here in G sandbox so you can use that list also (ignore already created pages). --AndyCro Icon-Croatia.png Do you need assistance? Ok, then it wasn't a good idea. Otherwise, there isn't a equivalent to {{user}} in this Wiki? I'll use to sign the article list whithout date/hour... Kojie // Write me (Escribeme) 14:24, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
If you just want to sign, you can sign only with ~~~, but please when you sign here in Bar use the full signature with date! :) --AndyCro Icon-Croatia.png Do you need assistance? Then ask me! ;)) 14:40, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
