Translation

  1. I have no idea why this page was created. We already have Category:Uber Editors, so why do we need this page for? --Belea2008 Hail eSouth Africa! chew the fat 14:10, 5 September 2008 (BST)
    1. Mh, nothing :) --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core wanna chat? 21:09, 5 September 2008 (BST)
  2. Off-topic - how do you kick... in the Wiki? --Belea2008 Hail eSouth Africa! chew the fat 14:10, 5 September 2008 (BST)
    1. It's a joke --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core wanna chat? 21:09, 5 September 2008 (BST)
  3. Now that it has been created, let's do something with it, like a tutorial system presented here. What do you thing about that? --Belea2008 Hail eSouth Africa! chew the fat 14:10, 5 September 2008 (BST)
    1. Adopt a user is, IMHO, a completely different kind of thing --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core wanna chat? 21:09, 5 September 2008 (BST)
  4. Off-topic - do we really need that No.3 "kicking whatever" to "become an Uber Editor"...??? --Belea2008 Hail eSouth Africa! chew the fat 14:10, 5 September 2008 (BST)
    1. Of course not :) --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core wanna chat? 21:09, 5 September 2008 (BST)
  5. In the main page, it says that one of the existing Uber Editors has to propose you to become one. Okay, but based on what quantity and based on what quality, you get proposed to become an Uber....? --Belea2008 Hail eSouth Africa! chew the fat 14:10, 5 September 2008 (BST)
    1. Quantity and quality of edits (lik QJ Lincoln that did a lot of work and good quality work) --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core wanna chat? 21:09, 5 September 2008 (BST)
  6. The 'Uber Editors' idea is a good one (because it was proposed by me :D ), but I would like not to turn it in "Oh, I am an Uber Editor, so do not speak to me you mortal normal Wiki User that you are..." ... Okay... you are an Uber Editor... congratulations!!!, but with that you should give help to new players and act a little more mature than the newer users. Uber Editors = (a) learn, (b) try, (c) experience, (d) be wise and (e) help others!!!!!! --Belea2008 Hail eSouth Africa! chew the fat 14:10, 5 September 2008 (BST)
    1. Yep, Uber Editors could be a category for people more experienced who are willing to help new users, +1 on that --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core wanna chat? 21:09, 5 September 2008 (BST)

My idea (Without a million sigs)

Something like this, on a smaller scale, should do the trick. - –Dr. AgentChieftain Flag of the Crescent and Star PPP! B / C / D / F / P / S 07:40, 8 September 2008 (BST)

Any ideas how to implement that? --Belea2008 Hail eSouth Africa! chew the fat 11:49, 8 September 2008 (BST)
We can make a couple of templates and have Admin give them out. All we need to decide on would be names and stuff. - –Dr. AgentChieftain Flag of the Crescent and Star PPP! B / C / D / F / P / S 14:38, 26 September 2008 (PDT)

Renaming

Why not make the category a little less snobby-sounding? Master Editor doesn't sound as nerdy/self-centered as "Uber Editor" does, in my opinion. - –Dr. AgentChieftain Flag of the Crescent and Star PPP! B / C / D / F / P / S 14:38, 26 September 2008 (PDT)

Agree, or Veteran? Anything but Uber Editor in my opinon. Damn , this is getting scary. Second time today I am agreeing with you! :o  --Aryamehr Flag of Iran talk 15:38, 26 September 2008 (PDT)
I would like the title Supreme Editatrix --QJ Lincoln 15:59, 26 September 2008 (PDT)
Senior editors? --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core call me! 04:43, 28 September 2008 (PDT)

So, are we not going to nominate people? What is this? I do not have anything against those who have just been selected as Uber Editors to be Uber Editors however I didn't see any nomination, what I saw was a dictator deciding who is Uber Editor and who is not. How does this thing work anyway? Can I pick people I want to be Uber Editor to be Uber Editors now? --Aryamehr Flag of Iran talk 17:35, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

I am a dictator now? You assume that I made the decision to honor two editors' hard work without discussing it with other people. You are incorrect. Just because the discussion wasn't held here doesn't mean it wasn't held.
Your latest contributions to the wiki only seem to be criticism. If there are things that you do not like, why don't you take action? If you think we should have a policy for nominating uber editors, then why don't you work on one? --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 18:54, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Please read the first post: "Uber Editors are nominated by other Uber Editors. Among which the following are considered: " I did not see any nomination. Don't get angry at me, I am trying to follow rules here. And I have already done enough, way before you arrived I was the one who got this place set up and created all the important articles, started the ideas of groups, todo lists, policies etc. --Aryamehr Flag of Iran talk 21:33, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Bump. --Aryamehr Flag of Iran talk 10:58, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
Actually, Koroush, QJ and Belea just get drunk and post the Uber Editor tag on a few people who happen to be online at a time. How do you think you got yours? -Emerick 18:59, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
That's nice of you, please read the rules though eRepublik Official Wiki:Behavior_policy. Don't try so hard to be part of the 4channers. --Aryamehr Flag of Iran talk 13:23, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
There are a couple of people there that no longer devote time to the wiki anymore, most noticeably is ThisGenMedia. These people should be relegated back to normal editors, imo. Pierric Bross 04:23, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
I also agree with you on that point! Uber Editors are supposed to be active, help etc and there is no point in inactive ones. --Aryamehr Flag of Iran talk 14:27, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
  1. It does not state anywhere that the Wiki Community must approve a nomination or reject it. Uber Editors are appointed based on their deeds. It anyone considers that the current system is flawed, then that person should propose some guidelines or a policy for nominating and appointing Uber Editors.
  2. I propose to make a separate category for "no longer active" Uber Editors. Any thoughts on this idea?

John Daker

I edited one of the Uber Editors from User:John Daker to User:NicolaeCarpathia, because they are one and the same (at least, according to NicolaeCarpathia), only now the link actually goes to the Uber editors user page. -- Timeoin 15:15 09 January 2010.
