New Faustian Man began his career with a small outfit in the Irish league, the Tuatha. Making his debut in a wintry day in January 2010 to no great acclaim, his early days were marked by poor levels of commitment, with a few flashes of the brilliance we later came to associate with him. Analysts have speculated the poor quality of the side New Faustian Man played in was possibly the greatest obstacle in his early days, citing the leap in fortunes his career took when turning out for some of the better teams.

At the end of his first season with the Tuatha, he decided it was time to move on. The Irish league at this time was a stale affair, with a couple of the bigger teams mopping up much of the silverwear. Faustian set his sites on a semi-professional career in the States, hoping to supplement his earnings from the game with a coaching role. But things were to take a different turn.

The American Eagle Division were the first side to offer him a contract. He enjoyed nominal success at the AED, their coach at the time, Pizza the Hut, was heavy on the man-management side of the game but, as some claim, his tactical nous left a lot to be desired. After a season with AED came Faustian's first big break: a contract with SEAL Team 6.

SEAL Team 6 at the time possessed a star-studded line-up, and Faustian had doubts whether he could ever break into the first team! In hindsight he probably never really did, despite a few flashes of genius, his time in SEAL Team 6 wasn't to test his flair, but his grit and determination and -- ultimately, question whether he could put in solid performances week in week out. To the latter, the answer was a resounding yes! His first spell at ST6 allowed him to witness first-hand how some of the greats of the game operated, and this level of professionalism embedded itself in him and was ultimately to have a huge impact on how he approached the game from then on.

Although his days at ST6 were a happy affair, an opportunity came up to player-manage a small side, the Asha'man. This was a unique opportunity for Faustian and, although he had his regrets at leaving ST6, the opportunity was too good to pass up.
