Albert Neurath was a longtime citizen and high-ranked politician of Thailand til when Thailand merged with Malaysia to form a unified country. Upon the dissolution of the Thai-Malaysia union, he returned to Thailand, where he was until the end of 2010 when he moved to New Zealand, where he stayed for a couple of months. In 2011, he moves to Austria.

History

Albert Neurath was born on Day 361 of the New World, shortly after the release of Version 1.0. He initially settled in Italy and remained there for a few days, before moving to the USA shortly and then to Thailand within 20 days after seeing a recruitment article in the foreign press. Once in Thailand, he established himself among the ranks of the then-opposing Thailand Reform Party.

Over a period of months, Albert rose through the ranks of the TRP, eventually winning a Congressional seat for the TRP leaders. Albert maintained control of his seat in Northern Thailand for six consecutive terms, only leaving it when offered the nomination for President of Thailand as a unity candidate during a threatened TO.

Albert Neurath's two terms in office are considered by some Thai citizens some of the strangest and chaotic times in Thailand's history. Although Albert Neurath is universally considered by Thai citizens to be a good president, his record has been overshadowed by the events that befell Thailand during his term in office. Albert Neurath was elected President in the midst of an Iranian Mafia TO, which threatened to destroy the country's economy and bankrupt Thailand. The Mafia leaders were resoundingly defeated at the polls by combined Thai and PEACE forces, but the event left a stigma of an "easily-invaded" country for Thailand.

The rest of Albert's first term and most of his second were good times for Thailand, until a second, much more powerful and organized TO made up of Romanian forces arrived in Thailand. Taking over Thailand's largest party, the Pattana Unity Party, they threatened to take over the entire country and turn it into a resource base for supplying Romania. President Neurath, along with the senior leaders of Thailand's political scene, decided to implement a "nuclear option" to get rid of the Romanians for good. In secret, President Neurath arranged a merger with Malaysia for the benefit of the two countries.

President Neurath, during the Malaysian union, picked up a third Presidential medal. He served as the Party president of one of Malaysia's largest parties, the Democratic Action Party, and ran successfully for Congress again.

On day 1286 (29 May 2011), Albert announced his permanent retirement from eRepublik due to the new changes implemented to the game[1]. A couple of months later, Albert briefly re-appeared, however, didn't stay for long[2].

Foreign Controversy
