Articles are accessible by clicking the headline.
Article Header
At the top of the page, readers and owners can see:
- Subscribe to newspaper - Click to subscribe to the newspaper. If the user has already subscribed, it will say "unsubscribe". The number on the left indicates the number of subscribers.
- Title - The article title.
- Article Information - Posting date, category and number of comments
- Rating and Number of Votes - Click the "Vote" button to vote. Each citizen can vote once, with no ability to cancel the vote
For the Owner
Owners will have some additional features. On the left, owners will have the following buttons:
- Edit - Clicking will open the edit article screen for the user to modify the article.
- Delete - Clicking will show the confirmation Are you sure you want to delete this article?, click "OK" to delete.
After the header, readers will see the main body of the article. After that is the footer that shows the:
- Share This - Click the link to share the article via e-mail, social networks or other sites
- Report Abuse Link - Click the link to report the article for breaking one of the Rules
- Navigation buttons - Click the arrows to read the previous or next articles in the newspaper
Comments
Every article allows readers to post comments. The comments lists shows the avatar, username, date, and message. The comment poster will also have a possibility to delete his/her comment. You can use "Report" link to report inappropriate comments. From day 1,911 readers can comment or vote other readers comments.
At the very bottom of the page, the reader can leave his or her own comments. Remember to read the rules before commenting.
- Pager - Comments have been divided into pages. There are 50 comment per page. Oldest comment will be first and latest will be last.
- Comment Box - Enter your comment in the field and then click the "Post Comment" button.
- The maximum amount of characters that can be used in a comment was raised to 2000 on day 1856. The previous limit was set at 500 characters
