Attica is a region in the United States of America and its capital is Athens. Its original owner is Attica.

Attica was capital of Greece for most of the time.

History

In July 2008, a movement was made by the Hellenic Parliament to change the name of Athens to Rathens, after the first Greek Republic Resistance president Rathen Holton.[1] The measure passed but some government documents continue to call the city Athens.

Attica was taken over by Turkey during the First Balkan War but was freed in a resistance war on June 12, 2009.
