British Academy Awards
The British Academy is a committee of expert judges headed by the Minister of Information and Education, who is responsible for delegating the positions of Judges to those who he believes to be experts in the following fields, and who have proved themselves within the UK Community. The categories are Journalism, Programming, Economics, and Politics. There are 3 Judges for each of these categories, and one individual can be a Judge for more than one category. These Judges will discuss candidates that have been nominated by the public, and come to a unanimous decision regarding which of the nominees should win the award.
October 2008
The first nominations for the British Academy Awards were held this month. Politics
Winner: Tim09
Tim has done outstanding work this past month, tirelessly improving foreign relations with ATLANTIS within his position as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. He consistently contributes to discussions with a cool head and intelligent voice and thus, for those reasons, he deserves the award.
Economics
Winner: Cheeseball
He has been Minister of Work for three months now and has always managed the position well behind closed doors. Aswell as this, he has made a number of proposals which has benefited the economy and has a vast amount of knowledge to bring to the eUK.
Journalism
Winner: Hassan Pesaran

Programming
Winner: Kumnaa
Kumnaa has produced a number of calculators which have helped the eUK community. They even got mentioned in eRepublik Insider they were so notable.
