Bruno is an active politician and was a member of several different parties, including Belgium Center Party and Gelijkheid Vrijheid Democratie.
He was elected in a Congress and has served 4 terms as a member of Congress.
In January 2009, Bruno was elected President of Belgium.

He completed his military education on battlefields of Hungary, where he achieved a military rank of Lt Colonel. He was awarded 3 Super Soldier medals.
